This lovely newly built townhouse villa is located just 500m from Nerja's best beach, Burriana. We chose this property for it's convenient yet quiet location. The views from this property over the sea, Nerja town and it's surrounding mountains are lovely. There are 3 terraces from which to enjoy the sun and the views. The house is comfortably furnished throughout with the quality furnishings complimenting the white marble floors. The bedrooms are also comfortable and are fitted with blackout sun-blinds, ceiling fans and patio doors leading to a terrace. The scenic walk to the Balcon d'Europa in the picturesque centre of Nerja takes 15 minutes and just 5 minutes to the beach with its shops and many open air restaurants.

Nerja is situated on the coast in the Andalucian area of southern Spain, 45 minutes east of Malaga. Nerja has a considerable tourist population, but the original Andalucian town of 15,000 retains its traditional character. Fishermen still bring in their morning catch down on the beach. Architecture is a mixture of Andalucian and Moorish styles. Surrounded by the coastal mountains which rise picturesquely up from the sea, it cannot be compared to the high-rise vacation development elsewhere.

LOCAL INFORMATION : Nerja is unspoilt by high-rise holiday development and retains its unique Andalusian character. All new constructions have been adapted to the traditional Andalusian style of whitewashed houses, windows with grilles, roof with two slopes, etc. Nerja is not just a summer resort; it retains its unique charm all year round claiming the best climate in Europe. This is in part due to the surrounding Almijara mountains with its pine-clad slopes which shelter the resort and provide stunning views and ideal countryside for walkers. Nerja boasts many small coves reached by walking the Paseo de los Carabineros from Burriana to the Balcón.

LOCAL EXCURSIONS : The Nerja Caves are well worth visiting. A fascinating, extensive network of underground caverns, complete with auditorium and stage where the annual music and arts festival takes place. Nearby is Maro, a picturesque village with panoramic views across the sea and a small secluded beach, invisible from the cliff top. The mountains shelter many small attractive villages, notably Frigiliana with its restored Roman town and narrow vehicle-free cobbled streets. Further afield is the historic city of Granada and its famous Alhambra Palace. Malaga and beyond, to Marbella and Puerto Banus also provide a great day out.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles : Málaga airport to Nerja by car takes approx. 40 mins (50 Kms from Málaga). Taxis are easily available at the airport or you can take a bus from Malaga. There is an excellent bus service between Nerja and all major towns and villages.

Ski: Nerja is 1.5 hours from the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains near Granada.

Golf: There nearest golf course is 15 minutes drive away in Velez Malaga.

A quiet family location for a wonderful holiday

We spent 10 days at this apartment, my husband and I and our 22 month old along with my sister and her husband and their 9 month old. This accomdation was almost perfect for us.. lots of space, so well equipped with spare travel cot and even inflatable beach toys! The only drawback with it, is the steep hill from the beach to the apartment.. it was not a stroll, it was a hike and we are very fit! But add toddler in buggy, and supplies from the shop and the heat and it was a true work out for us at least twice a day... now "the trek" is only about 10 minute but you would have to gear up for it! This is the only thing that should have been mentioned in the description! Especially for families with buggies.. but overall we had a wonderful time.. burriana beach is glorious... nerja very close by, over another hill! Do try it, you'll love it!

My self and my family consisting of 4 adults and 2 children have just come back from Nerja. We really enjoyed our stay there. The apartment was wonderful and Wendy was a pleasure to deal with.

We had a wonderful time at this property, as we have 3 children there was plenty of space for everyone.
The pool is situated next to the villa which is great for the children to use as it was so close.
The villa is beautiful and is a credit to all concerned, when we arrived the house was spotlessly clean and well maintained.
Ayos on the beach is famous for their paella ( eat as much as you want). The children loved the caves and they are well worth a visit for everyone. We also loved the moorish town of Frigiliana, where we enjoyed our lunch overlooking the breathtaking views.
I will definately come to this villa again in the near future, and thanks again for all your help when we booked.

Aljamar - our first choice in Nerja

We have been holidaying in Nerja for nearly 20 years and have returned to Aljamar 3 times since we found it. We love to be within walking distance of the beach, bars, restaurants and town as well as to stay in a modern property, so Aljamar ticks all those boxes. The house is clean, bright and comfortable with all the modern facilities you'd expect for a family. There's plenty of space and storage for everyone - all the bedrooms are a good size so no-one has to draw the short straw! The development is well-maintained, safe and attractive. The owners are great to deal with and very responsive - nothing's too much trouble.
Favourite places in Nerja...Burriana Beach - beautifully clean and cosmopolitan - amazing fish of the day at all the beach restaurants - Ayo's is a must for Paella and buzz. The caves - breathtaking and nice and cool on a hot day! Maison Antonio in the Town centre - authentic tapas / bar - great atmosphere and food. Balcon de Europa - can't be missed!
