Nerja is an old fishing town approximately one hours drive east of Malaga. There is an enjoyable village atmosphere and most developments have been kept 'low-rise'. There is a quaint walkway along the coastline to guide you past isolated coves and inlets. Restaurants and bars of all nationalities are in abundance. The weather is excellent with hot sun in summer and pleasant temperatures in winter. Nearby are the incredible Nerja caves and the splendid Alhambra Palace is less than two hours away.
There are two bedrooms both with en suite bath rooms. The first is a twin room having fitted wardrobes and an air conditioning unit, and an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower over, wash hand basin and w.c.
The second is a double room also with fitted wardrobes and an air conditioning unit. It has an en suite shower room with shower cubicle, wash hand basin and w.c. This room has full length French windows which lead to the patio.
There is also another room which houses a washing machine, guest w.c. and wash hand basin.
The lounge is very spacious and well furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs and an air conditioning unit. There is a sky cable T.V. and full size double French windows leading to the very large patio. There is a dining area off the lounge with an archway to a good size, well equipped, fully fitted wooden kitchen with microwave, electric oven and hob, fridge and all necessary kitchen equipment.
The patio is very large and has tables, chairs and sun loungers and receives sun all day, but there is shaded area if required! Steps lead up to a bright roof terrace with magnificent sea and mountain views, for true sun worshippers.
The Oasis is a charming village approximately one mile from the centre of town and beach. It is peaceful and safe for children and offers two swimming pools, a childs splash pool and a very good restaurant. The beautiful gardens are filled with colour and luscious greenery all year round.
Ski:
Sierra Nevada, which means 'Snowy Mountain Range', includes some of the highest peaks in Europe not to mention the highest concentration of peaks over 3,000m in the country. The Mulhacen, at 3,482m, is Spain's highest after Mount Teide in Tenerife. The ski terrain is prominantly peaked by the jagged Veleta at 3,398m, Spain's third highest after Aneto, (3,404m), in the Pyranees. The ski resort of Sierra Nevada offers its visitors a wide range of facilities and a ski terrain to suit skiers & boarders of all standards.
An important factor that very few resorts are able to boast of, is that you are practically guaranteed sunshine throughout your stay! Being so far south the climate is superb for brushing up on the deepest ski tan you are likely to get anywhere!! Visitors are always stunned at how the snow lasts during the typically deep blue skied, sun blazoned days.
