The property lies on the edge of the well-established Capistrano Village complex. It's very private walled garden features a built-in barbeque and garden furniture for al-fresco dining. The roomy living area has an open fireplace, 3-piece suite, ceiling fan, 20-channel TV (inc. Sky Sports), radio/CD player, DVD and video cassette players and comfortable dining for up to six people, using a kitchen annex containing oven/hob, refrigerator, microwave and the usual small appliances. There is also a separate fridge/freezer for additional food storage. Each of the two twin bedrooms has a ceiling fan and an en-suite shower room with wash-basin and WC , the upper bedroom and terrace being accessed by a spiral staircase. Although fully refurbished, the villa retains its traditional Spanish ambiance.

Nearest Motorway: A7 Malaga to Nerja Autovia at 1 Kilometres

Nerja is around 55km East of Malaga and it's airport, at the end of the developed coastal strip, the Costa del Sol. Market gardens surround the town which has adapted successfully to the requirements of a holiday resort, offering beaches, bars and restaurants (over 300 apparently!) with relatively few high-rise buildings. Capistrano Village lies on the edge of town, the centre and main beach being within 15min on foot or 4min. by car or bus. The complex has two large pools, each with adjoining children's pool. An excellent supermarket, laundry, bars and restaurants are within 100 metres of the villa. Well-established gardens surround the pools and properties.

Notes: Access to the villa from the car off-loading space is via 3 steps and approx. 20 metres of rising footpath. From the complex car park, a 13-step path leads down to the villa. Suitability for elderly or infirm will vary with the degree of infirmity if upper bedroom is to be used eg the owner is 75 years old and can take a full case up the spiral staircase but with a little difficulty.

Places to visit, things to do: The charming, award-winning village of Frigliana and the dramatic Caves of Nerja are respectively 5 km and 2 km away. By car, the road from nearby Torrox to Competa demands utmost concentration but views and destination are rewarding. To the west, a trip to Antequera with its spectacular National Park is worthwhile. To the east, Almunecar is an interesting town with a castle and some history. Further afield is the Alhambra, the magnificent Moorish Palace on the edge of Granada which is reached in around 2 hours. A further 30 min. drive takes one to the Sierra Nevada ski resort, the most southerly in Europe. Coach trips to Gibralter and Seville are well worthwhile. Although the main centre for golf is to the west of Malaga, there are two excellent courses within a 30 min. drive and plans for one in Nerja have recently been approved. There are many spectacular walks along the coast and into the surrounding hills.

Relaxing get-away

What a superb little villa! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with little touches such as a bottle of wine and flowers waiting for us on arrival and good stocked cupboards of the little extras required for barbecues and for meal planning. Furthernore there was a boogey board and buckets and spades much to my childrens delight! Previous occupants had left sun cream and various other nick nacks and we obliged too, enhancing the next visitors stay. The garden was beautiful and perfect for the kids to move from the inside to the outside in complete safety. The location is perfectly placed for meals out, the swimming pool and other amenities. We hired a car which was useful for visiting waterparks and local markets. I would recommend it to my family and friends and truly relaxed during my stay. Tv channels such as cbeebies and cbbc were great for the kids while preparing meals and I enjoyed still being able to catch up with british tv although channels in german and spanish were also available (sports too!) The directions provided were spot on making it easy to find the villa on arrival. The pool was very clean and a bar provided snacks and drinks, lifeguards were always in attendance to ensure childrens safety.

The el capistrano village is well maintained, quaint and very traditional in appearance which only enhanced our stay!

Would love to go back next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Location is close enough to what you need, easy to just relax when you need to or be out and about in the thick of it when you wnata change.
just what the Dr ordered! Our six month old enjoyed it too, cut her first tooth and started to crawl forward all here!
Location wise, Caves are a must. Drove to Grenada for the day which was throughly worth the effort. Rest of the week spent sampling the local fare and walking round locally..a spanish past time!!
