Our villa is situated in beautiful El Capistrano, an Andalucian village set against the backdrop of the Mediterranean with its olive groves, sweet smell of jasmine and blaze of colours from gardens and paths. In the village complex, there are three swimming pools, a kids pool, a restaurant, bar and a supermarket. This luxury self-catering villa, 100m from the village, has a comfortable, bright spacious living/dining room, two double bedrooms, family bathroom , down stairs toilet and a large kitchen. It has sun terraces on two levels with panoramic sea views, and a shady garden with patio furniture. Very close by are the mile-long Burriana beach with its many sea-food restaurants; and charming but lively Nerja town, with its traditional tapas bars, night shopping and great selection of excellent restaurants.

Nerja, Costa del Sol, is less than 45 minutes from Malaga airport. Nerja is basked in year-round sunshine and is a pretty town full of life, tradition and charm. The town retains an Andalucian atmosphere while catering to the needs of its Spanish and European tourists. The white washed villages of Frigiliana and Competa are nearby. Granada is only an hour from Nerja, with Ronda and Seville within three hours drive.These day trips bring you to where Moorish and Medieval styles combine, creating the most distinguished architecture in southern Spain.

Notes:

The villa has two bedrooms, one double and one twin, both with french doors leading out onto a large balcony with sea views. The bathroom is off the hall. Downstairs there is a large fully equipped kitchen, a small cloakroom with toilet and the living/ dining room, which is bright and spacious with comfortable furniture. Two double french doors open out onto a terrace with lovely sea views. and from which steps lead down into a small, pretty garden with orange, lemon and olive trees. The television has Sky, There is a DVD and Video player. There are two fold-away beds which can be used upstairs or downstairs for children or small adults, and travel cots can be hired by prior arrangement. The villa is very suitable for children of all ages, as well as for elderly people - as there is no up-hill walking and all the village facilities are near by. There are ceiling fans through out. There is an iron in the villa. This villa is very suitable for long term winter rentals.

Trips and Places to Visit

The Nerja Caves, three miles away, are the biggest caves in Europe, with caverns full of stalagmites and stalactites. Frigiliana and Competa, less than half an hour away, are two of the famous 'white villages of Andalucia', where traditions and lifestyles from past centuries continue regardless of the changes all round. Granada, just over an hour by car, is one of Spain's historic cities, and has a well-preserved city centre as well as the famous Alhambra Palace and gardens. Seville, three hours from Nerja, is one of Spain's biggest cities, with lots to see and do.

Around Nerja

Golf courses: there is a 9-hole course in Salobreila, and a 18- hole course at Anorata; both are only thirty minutes away. Shopping and Supermarkets: apart from the El Capistrano village supermarket, there are plenty of bigger supermarkets in the town which are well-stocked with English products. Balcon Europa: this is the heart of the town, where locals gather in the evenings for their daily walkabout. Markets: there is a wonderful market at the far end of the town, held every Tuesday morning, and a second-hand market at the same place on Sunday mornings. Restaurants: as you will discover for yourselves, there are many wonderful places to eat. We can personally recommend the tapas bars, which are at the far end of town.

El Capistrano Village

Pools: there are three main pools, plus a children's pool, close to the restaurant and cafe. There is also an indoor pool which is open during the colder months. Tennis: Nerja tennis club is located by the entrance to El Capistrano Village. Baby-sitting: can be arranged (at an extra cost) through my agent. Car-hire and trips: arrangements can be made in the town or through my agent. Doctor: there is an English-speaking doctor in the village.

Thankyou so very much for a fantastic week in your villa. It was absolutely perfect. I can`t believe how organised you are! From balls to board games, it was all there! I slept properly for the first time in many months I was that relaxed. Two ginger cats have taken over your garden as their own!
