Modern, light, studio on 8th floor of sought-after Minerva complex in Benalmadena. The studio has 2 pull-down, wardrobe beds that leave studio space free during the day and a double sofa-bed that can sleep 1 adult or 2 children (a discretionary charge of 25% per person may be added). The studio will accommodate a maximum of 4. Dining table & 4 chairs, lounge chairs and satellite TV with all English channels. Coin-operated air conditioning/heating. Fantastic pool, sea & mountain views from 180 degree south-west facing balcony - afternoon & evening sun. 5 pools and extensive landscaped gardens. Fully equipped kitchen with double sink, 4-ring hob, electric oven, microwave and washing machine. Linen and towels supplied. 500 metres from the sea, close to public transport, shops, bars, restaurants. Malaga Airport only 15 minutes by car. 4 lifts within the block.

The Minerva/Jupiter complex in Benalmadena Costa/Arroyo de la Miel is on the Costa del Sol, between Malaga and Marbella. Also known as the Costa del Golf. Minerva/Jupiter is only 15 minutes from Malaga airport and 1 hour from Gibraltar or Granada airports. The studio is close to all amenities including several golf courses, 5 minutes walk to the nearest beach. Many bars, restaurants and clubs within minutes' walk.

    Prices are for 2 people per week. Both studios can accommodate a 3rd person or 2 small children on double sofa bed but supplement will be charged to cover extra linen/towels, etc.
    £5 per person cleaning charge.
    At time of booking, a non-refundable 30% deposit will be charged payable by cheque or direct bank transfer, with the balance due 4 weeks before arrival in Spain.
    Full payment can be made in sterling by cheque or direct bank transfer. Payment can also be made in euros into Spanish bank account.
    Lettings of 10 days or more will have a linen/towel change charge added.
    Reduced rates for longer lets always negotiable. 4 weeks or more November - March, £90 per week only.

    Changeover day negotiable.
    We strongly recommend that clients take out their own travel insurance as we cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury that occurs during your stay in our Studios.
  • For bookings of 3 or 4 persons, there will be a £100 damage/extra cleaning deposit required. This will be returned in full, assuming there is no damage to the property or no extra cleaning required.

Benalmadena is perfectly situated for trips to Marbella (half and hour), Gibraltar (1 hour), Seville (2 hours), Granada (1 and a half hours) and in the winter for skiing in the Sierra Nevada (about 2 hours).

The central location of Minerva/Jupiter means you very close to all amenities. The town of Arroyo de la Miel, Tivoli World fun park, Benalmadena/Arroyo railway station, beach and marina are all within walking distance. The nearest golf course and the famous Torrequebrada casino are only 2km away. On site there is 24 hour English speaking reception, coin-operated Interenet access, safe deposit box hire, Bureau de Change, car hire, restaurant, shop, hairdressers and pool side bar. The pool is protected by life guards during high season. Across the road from the complex is Bonanza Square, with its many restaurants, bars and cafes. The complex is 7km from Malaga airport.

We reserved for the whole of September and we found the studio very well equiped and I had the opportunity to meet Nic and he is really lovely.

No real complaints at all just minor details. The mirrors could do with a clean - but at least they're flattering and, being a lady I found the lighting a bit dim when I was getting ready. The only other "slight" complaint would be the TV, it's a bit small and badly programmed i.e. it say's Dave TV and it's actually BBC2 and I think some programs are missing but must be lurking there somewhere, this didn't bother us but I spent some time on my own so I didn't go out in the evening.

We slept well but we were disturbed by some very noisy "stag parties" but that's to be expected in September. The air conditioning is expensive at 1euro the hour but it's the same everywhere and at least it worked.

We'll definately be reserving with Nic and Tom again but next time a 1 bedroom apartment which will suit us better.

comfy, clean and good location

I stayed in the studio for four days until Nic and Tom's flat was available. Everything I needed there, clean, comfortable and very near to all facilities. Car parking just outside. Safe property with manned reception. Nic and Tom are excellent landlords.

Not expensive but really uncomfortable

I stayed by the Studio 1 in Minerva with 2 friends till yesterday morning... Well... if you want air conditioning you must pay 1 € per 1 hour. So consider the real cost since in Malaga in Summer you can find very hot weather.
When we arrived on Sunday the 23 August the studio was not so clear, especially the shower courtain.
The worse were the 2 single beds who noise every time you move. We had serious problem to sleep since every time someone turned in the bed caused a terrible noise to the others!
The last thing: in the building live many people and the structure doesn't contribute to the silence. So you cannot sleep well during all the night especially in the weekend.
I am sorry but think will not go there again.

Owner's Response: I dispute the comments regarding cleanliness of the property - we always keep our apartments in immaculate condition and well presented for arrival of guests.
Minerva/Jupiter are popular and well-known urbanisations on the Costa del Sol and we have a constant stream of repeat bookers every year. Of course, the busiest (and noisiest) month is August, when the complex is very full and the noise levels can be higher. People have to remember that Minerva/Jupiter is NOT a hotel - it is a collection of holiday and residential apartments. There are many people who live there all year round.
Air conditioning costs are standard for the complex.

the wife and i had a week at nics studio at minerva and although small it had everything needed for a self catering holiday and was handy for the pubs on bonanza square.we didnt, bother getting a taxi to the apartment we caught the train for under 4 euro for both of us and with nics directions it took about 10 mins to walk to the apartment.the studio was perfect for a weeks break for 2 but more than 2 would be a struggle i think.it was easy to book and we found that nic was a true gent and always helpful with any enquiry.i will be booking again.
