Superb tranquil spacious (100 sq meters) ground floor apartment furnished to a very high standard consisting of large living/dining room, fitted and fully equipped kitchen including washing-machine, fridge-freezer and micro-wave. Master bedroom has en-suite (bath and shower unit) and patio doors leading on to large terrace for sunbathing and entertaining. Views are spectacular as far as Gibraltar and the Rif Mountains in Africa - they are breath-taking. Own privately shared swimming pool including children's pool; within meters of supermarket and excellent restaurants. Short distance from golf course (clubs available free in apt); 5 km to Cabopino stylish port and sandy beach; 30 km to Marbella and Puerto Banus. Digital Satellite TV (BBC, ITV, Sky etc). Close by is sports complex with tennis, squash, sauna and gym (day ticket entry). Hourly tourist transport to main shopping complex. Easily maintained marble floors; weekly cleaning can be arranged. Recommended for sun seekers.

Calahonda is a vibrant village on the south-east coast of Spain with numerous supermarkets, restaurants, bistros, bars and banks. The apartment is in a residential complex with swimming pool, restaurants, mini-market and bars with one of the finest views of the Mediterranean on the Costa del Sol. Nearby there is an indoor swimming pool and gym facility, choice of beaches, horse racing every Sunday in Summer (sometimes at midnight), bull-fights, soccer, choice of free night-time entertainment in various hotels. King Saud of Saudi Arabia holidays down the road at Nagueles with his entourage of about 1,200. The apartment is very restful and quiet with its greatest attribute being a rub of the wet mop on the marble floors and its spick and span once again. Two fans keep the indoor climate to perfection.

Notes: To complement the sleeping facilities the apartment also has a divan/couch which can in seconds be converted into a bed for two to cater for the unexpected visitor who happens to call by. The television has the free-to-air BBC facility which apart from the vast array of TV channels also has crystal clear radio reception particularly of all the BBC radio stations and the Irish RTE radio stations. The BBC TV is essential for the rugby and racing. The usual soaps are covered on all the channels. LONG TERM RENTERS ARE WELCOME AND SUCH RENTALS ARE NEGOTIABLE.

Activities: You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to activities. There are excellent walks either on the Paseo Maritimo at Fuengirolo, the pier at Cabopino or the pier at Marbella. If you need other walks try the Paseo Maritimo at Marbella or jaywalk with the poseurs at Puerto Banus and if you still want exercise try the pier at Puerto Banus of the Paseo Maritimo at Estepona. There is an excellent tennis complex within walking distance from the apartment.

Golf & Horse Racing: La Siesta Golf is less than a mile from the apartment. It is a very well maintained private 9 hole par 3 course whose greens are always in immaculate condition. There is a superb restaurant attached to the club-house. Nearby there are numerous courses from the 9 holes full length par 3 at Greenlife to the 18 holes par 71 Cabopino Golf which is a Pay and Play course. You can play the Miraflores 18 holes par 70 course which charges 59 euros (or 34 euros for 9 holes) winter green fees. By reading the local publications such as Costa del Sol Golf News you will find most golf courses offer very reduced fees which usually includes free buggy for two. Horse race meetings are held every Saturday/Sunday in August and every 2 weeks at Mijas Hippodromo 7kms away.

Eating and Entertainment: I asked a gormand one day could he recommend any restaurants - his answer: 'How could I - there is a choice of over 400 restaurants to choose from.' Just beside the swimming pool at the apartment there is one of the best value relaxing restaurants on the Costa. You can have a very good quality main course for two and a bottle of Vino de Casa and come away with change out of a Euro 20 note. There are a number of good quality restaurants within reasonable distance where you can eat a three-course dinner for around €13 INCLUDING a bottle of wine for two. There's a buffet (eat as much as you want) for €10 per person. There are more upmarket restaurants where there is no limit to the prices where you can spend time and money enjoying the beautiful people having fun. That is the beauty of being situated in Calahonda - it caters for all tastes. We will provide details of restaurants and suggest one of the best tapas bars on the Costa where I have had prawns (x2) in batter plus 2 beers for €6

We had a wonderful holiday. The apartment was great, the views are absolutely spectacular and even though there is the view on the website, to actually stand on the balcony is something quite spectacular, we were privileged to see young kestrels take flight from the nest in the apartment above, hope that we can stay with you again in the future. WB Bradford.
We had a fantastic holiday and would very much like to return there next year, we didn't want to leave this time. SC London.

We really had a fabulous time in this apartment - the views are spectacular and the pool was great - had some lovely evenings having a drink on the verandah taking in the view - would recommend this apartment, good value.
