La Perla de la Bahia nestles on a stunning piece of coastline, right on the beach at Casares, between Estepona and Sotogrande. The apartment, on the first floor, overlooks the gardens and pool, and has magnificent views, out to sea, of an old Moorish watch-tower, and the North African coast. Luxuriously furnished, there are marble floors throughout, with spacious rooms, and a huge covered terrace, large enough for dining and lounging. Recently built, the complex is a small, quiet place with 24 hour security and electronic gates, and there is private access to the beach. Located in the centre of the Costa del Golf, there are 20 golf courses within 30 minutes of the apartment. The marina at Puerto de la Duquesa is a 4 minute drive, and the night-life of trendy Puerto Banus is 25 minutes away.

Nearest Airport: Malaga at 86 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 10.0 Metres
Casares region, and its coastal village - Sabinillas - lies about 6Kms west of Estepona, and 10 Kms east of Sotogrande on the CN 340. It is half-way between Marbella and Gibraltar. Marbella is about 30 minutes drive. Renowned as one of Spain's 'white villages', the Casares area stretches from the coast into the mountains, and apart from the coastal strip is rugged and unspoilt. Sabinillas is an old fishing village. Although growing in recent years, it is still quite small, and retains a lot of its old character. The apartment complex is at one end of the village, and Duquesa Marina and Golf Club is at the other. The Costa del Sol west of Estepona is still relatively undeveloped, resulting in open countryside, uncrowded beaches and a relaxed pace of life.

Things to do nearby: You are surrounded by things to do at La Perla. Stroll along the beach to Sabinillas - a typical Spanish coastal village. Stop off at the beach bar along the way. Stroll further to Duquesa Marina, to enjoy port-side browsing, or an evening meal in any of a large selection of cafes, bars and restaurants. There is enjoyable but restrained night-life here. Manilva village, with its old Roman ruins is a classic example of Andalusian antiquity, and the most unique of all of the 'pueblos blancos' - Casares - is a mere 15 minutes inland. There are pleasant trips to Gibraltar (30 minutes) Granada or Seville (2.5 hours), and a ferry to Morroco is an absolute must.

Shopping and Browsing: Everyday essentials are available at a convenience store immediately nearby, and all the usual supermarket, ATM and pharmacy facilities are in the nearby village (3 minutes drive). Excellent shopping in Estepona (15 minutes drive), and high fashion boutiques abound in Puerto Banus and Marbella (25/30 minutes), Open-air markets are extremely popular, most mornings. The best of them are: Puerto Banus (Saturday); Sabinillas (Sunday morning); Sotogrande (Sunday afternoon); Estepona (Wednesday).

Golf: As all golfers know, the Costa del Sol is paradise. Within 30 minutes of the apartment, there are over 20 courses, offering a challenge to the single handicapper or the occasional four-ball player. Immediately nearby is Duquesa Golf (4 minutes, west), or Estepona Golf (4 minutes, east). Valderrama, Sotogrande and San Roque are all within 20 minutes, while La Quinta, Monte Mayor and Marbella are no more than half an hour's drive. You can even play at night, at La Dama de Noche! Tee times may be reserved through the La Perla Admin office.
