Things to do nearby:
You are surrounded by things to do at La Perla. Stroll along the beach to Sabinillas - a typical Spanish coastal village. Stop off at the beach bar along the way. Stroll further to Duquesa Marina, to enjoy port-side browsing, or an evening meal in any of a large selection of cafes, bars and restaurants. There is enjoyable but restrained night-life here. Manilva village, with its old Roman ruins is a classic example of Andalusian antiquity, and the most unique of all of the 'pueblos blancos' - Casares - is a mere 15 minutes inland. There are pleasant trips to Gibraltar (30 minutes) Granada or Seville (2.5 hours), and a ferry to Morroco is an absolute must.
Shopping and Browsing:
Everyday essentials are available at a convenience store immediately nearby, and all the usual supermarket, ATM and pharmacy facilities are in the nearby village (3 minutes drive). Excellent shopping in Estepona (15 minutes drive), and high fashion boutiques abound in Puerto Banus and Marbella (25/30 minutes), Open-air markets are extremely popular, most mornings. The best of them are: Puerto Banus (Saturday); Sabinillas (Sunday morning); Sotogrande (Sunday afternoon); Estepona (Wednesday).
Golf:
As all golfers know, the Costa del Sol is paradise.
Within 30 minutes of the apartment, there are over 20 courses, offering a challenge to the single handicapper or the occasional four-ball player. Immediately nearby is Duquesa Golf (4 minutes, west), or Estepona Golf (4 minutes, east). Valderrama, Sotogrande and San Roque are all within 20 minutes, while La Quinta, Monte Mayor and Marbella are no more than half an hour's drive. You can even play at night, at La Dama de Noche! Tee times may be reserved through the La Perla Admin office.
