The apartment is situated 5 minutes from the beach with lovely inland and coastal views. There are many excellent golf courses near by including the newly opened Dona Julia, championship course scheduled for inclusion on the PGA tour. The local beach has an excellent beach bar. The nearby towns of Estepona, Sabinillas and Duqeusa with its lovely marina, all have excellent bars, restaurants and supermarkets are all within 10minutes Latest addition is a 9 hole course within a 5 minute drive with an excellent restaurant and bar. There is a driving range in Estepona golf and also in Duquesa golf, both have restaurants and bars and fine views. Recently opened is another facility which includes pitch and put, putting green driving range, especially suitable for children. The complex has a spa and an excellent tapas bar There is a set of gents clubs available in the apartment.

Local amenities include: 2 swimming pools on site with local beach & excellent beach bar/ restaurant within 5 mins walk. Nearest towns are Sabinnilas (with lovely beach & promenade), Puerta Duquesa (great restaurants & bars) & Estepona (traditional Spanish town), all within 10 mins reach. All have good supermarkets & a weekly market. Just returned from our holiday it was brilliant . Its within easy access from Malaga airport although Gibraltar is only 25 mins drive .The appartment is fab, very comfortable, nicely furnished,and very clean,pretty much like a home from home. The gardens and surrounding areas are kept immaculate. Du Quesa and Sabinillas are within easy reach for the beach and lunch/evening meals. We used the small pool all of the time, it felt like our own personal pool.
The play areas in Sabinillas are excellent with parks and a kind of outdoor gym area for kids and big kids! or should I say adults!
Supermarkets are within a small drive and there is an excellent 'spanish' supermarket is used mainly by the locals and is very reasonable.

We also made friends with some of the other guests with children of similar ages.

We visited Gibraltar and Estepona, Marbella is just a half hour drive away.

We also went to the Water Park- Bahial de Parque near Algercerias wihch was great fun for kids and adults .

Mary was most kind and helpful in arranging our booking and Judy is an excellent contact, she made us very welcome and recommended a couple of really good restaurants.
Will definitley want to stay again some time in the future. I have already recommended the apartment to some relatives.

Our holiday, 17th to 28th July 2008

We had a wonderful time on our holidays. The apartment was lovely, it felt like staying in a friends house as there were so many homely touches; the cupboards were full of handy ingredients so you didn,t need to buy loads of things for the few meals you were having in; there were creams, shampoos, loo paper and other things left which helps tide you over until you get to the shops!
The air conditioning was a relief as was the fact there was sky television as the British Open was on whilst we were there. It also entertained the kids (12,10 and 8) when they were worn out from the sun and hours of swimming!
The local beaches were gorgeous, lots of local Spanish around rather than Brits which was rather nice. Plenty to do in the area and plenty of variety of beaches and restaurants.
The only negative of the apartment was that the pool was not overlooked by it. This meant that we just had to trust the kids to behave when we were not with them, but i guess it also meant that we got some peace!
Thanks to Mary who was very helpful when we were booking the apartment and also to Judy for her help when we were there. Hope to return soon and would recommend it to anyone.

While the pools are not adjacent the benefit is to be away from at times noisy types, but the smaller pool is nearly private.

Family holiday, definitely go back.

Family holiday, definitely go back.

Just back from here and had a fantastic time. The unbroken sunshine had something to do with it but so to did the apartment and location. The apartment was perfect, comfortable, well looked after on the ground floor with own garden. In a secure compound so could let the kids out in the garden. Choice of two pools which the kids 8 and 6 could stand up in the shallow end of the larger pool.

The management could have not been nicer, and were more than helpful getting us set up and if we needed anything it was sorted promptly and without any fuss.

The apartment is well positioned between Estapona and Sabinillas with choice of clean beaches all along the cost. We visited both towns for shops, beaches and playgrounds, all of which were clean and well looked after. We went in late June and the Sabinillas beach toilets were only opening as we left but the facilities on the Estapona beaches were all open and well maintained. The markets offered good value especially for fresh fruit but some of the shops in Estapona offered at least as good value for the bits and pieces clothes shoes etc.

The Safari park is quite close (car a must for this location) and a must see if you stay here, We bought the Selwoo 4 in one ticket and had a blast although the Marina and cable car ride could be done on the same day.
It was a quiet location, no disco booming outside the window till the wee hours which was a welcome relief and suited us down to the ground. Clean, safe, well maintained complex. No problems walking around the area.

Highly recommend, definitely go back.

Great spot for couples and/or families

We loved our stay at Jardines de Casares. The apartment itself is really well kitted out, with all the home luxuries, dishwasher, washing machine, etc., which makes a self catering holiday so much more enjoyable.
The children (3 & 5 years) had a fantastic time. The pools in the complex provided endless hours of fun. There were also many nearby beaches and playgrounds to add some variety.
Many of the Costa-del-sol attractions are within easy reach. We bought tickets to all three Selwoo parks (Safari, Waterworld and Telefonica) - this is very economical as the three tickets are only a fraction more than a single ticket. The Safari was our favourite - we spent the whole day there - there was so much to do: the BIG truck rides were really fun; the children particularly loved the walk back along the string bridges, and also the snake show! It is a good idea to bring your own packed lunches, as some restaurants in the park were closed - this will give you more flexibility. At the same location as the Telefonica you will find the Tivoli theme park (Disney type shows, rollercoasters, etc) - check out the opening hours before you go as they can vary from month to month.
As adults we also loved the holiday as there was a wide choice of great restaurants, scenic drives and historic cities to visit. Casares itself - a white village perched high in the mountains is really worth visiting - it is only a short drive from the apartment. Puerto de la Duquesa worked well for evening meals and a few relaxed evening drinks (with or without the children). We also took a day to visit Gibraltar - our advice is to go early in the morning as there can be quite a queue at the border. There are also many other interesting cities to visit - all within reach by car.
We would recommend this holiday to any family or also couples and of course those who are interested in Golf!
