what to do locally:
More and more people are beginning to enjoy walking in the Southern Spanish Sierras, yet the vast majority of the routes still remain blissfully uncrowded. This sense of space is very special, and is only a stone's throw from the apartment to the mountains and the Natural Park of the Sierra Almijara, where you can walk through areas of great natural beauty, with abundant wild flowers and the possibility of seeing deer, ibex, wild boar, foxes and lizards, not to mention the bird life, such as eagles, martins, hoopoes, shrikes and hawks. There are walks for all abilities, and plenty of mountains to climb for the more adventurous. There are also pony treks, tennis, mountain biking, and of course plenty of water sports within 10 minutes drive. For those with artistic talents Frigiliana is an artist's paradise. A frequent bus runs from Frigiliana to Nerja (10 mins) and there are plenty of shops within 5 minutes walk for groceries, including a bread shop for breakfast baguettes or croissants.

Note from the owners.:
Casa de Paz is a privately owned apartment, used most winters by the owners. Subsequently it has been sensitively decorated and furnished to a high standard, with many extras for the comfort of guests. There are ceiling fans for keeping cool in the summer, a log burning stove and radiators for the cooler winter evenings, and a music system designed to play in most rooms. Our agents Steve and Sarah live in the village, and are always available to help in any way.
