This spacious apartment is situated in the old part of the Andalucian village of Frigiliana. The accommodation includes a south facing terrace with wonderful panoramic views towards the hills and mountains and access to a communal pool and bathing area. Frigiliana lies in the foothills of the Almijara mountain range at a height of 1,000 feet and is the perfect place for a tranquil, relaxing holiday. For the more energetic, there are several walks to enjoy in and around the village which is on the edge of a national park. The apartment is within 5 minutes walking distance of the village square and many small shops, bars and restaurants. For those seeking beach side entertainment and a livelier pace, the resort town of Nerja is just a short drive away and the regular bus service into Nerja takes little more than 10 minutes. Located only 45 miles from Malaga airport, our apartment provides a unique combination of mountain scenery and Mediterranean beaches.

Frigiliana is a quiet and picturesque Andalucian village 4 miles inland from the lively seaside resort of Nerja. The village is noted for it's whitewashed houses and narrow flower laden cobbled streets. Situated on the edge of the Sierra Tejada National Park giving easy access to numerous walks, you can enjoy the outstanding natural beauty of the area with abundant wild flowers and wildlife. The village has many restaurants and bars which specialise in La Axarquia fare, some with panoramic views. The nearby town of Nerja has many fine beaches offering a variety of watersports as well as a bustling nightlife, however, it also retains many of the charms of a typical Spanish town.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The rent includes electricity, water, fresh linen and towels (except beach towels) and cleaning before and after your stay. Linen and towels will be changed weekly. Our local agents will be available throughout your stay to help with any queries. A security bond of £100.00 or 125.00 euros to cover any losses or damage within the property is payable with the final balance. Upon receipt of payment the keys for the apartment will be posted to you approximately 14 days prior to your arrival. The security bond will be refunded in full, provided no loss or damage has occurred, upon return of the keys following your stay. Please note that the apartment will be available from 4pm on your day of arrival and you are requested to vacate the apartment by 10am on your departure date.
  • A 25% deposit is payable at the time of booking and the balance will be due 6 weeks prior to arrival.
  • Discounted prices for bookings of 2 weeks or more are available on application.

Great Family Holiday

We had a lovely time in this beautiful, well equipped apartment. It contained everything that you would need incl Sat TV (great for the kids during the quiet time!), beach equipment, change of linen and towels. It was a real home from home. My Husband and I stayed here with our two young daughters (5 & 7), they thoroughly enjoyed the pool. There are quite a few steep steps upto the apartment block and then another 2 flights to the apartment, so it keeps you fit, especially when you've been to the supermarket or on arrival with several heavy suit cases!!
The village of Frigiliana is also beautiful. It is kept very clean and we discovered had drinkable spring water. We have been told that there are over 40 restaurants in this lovely quaint spanish village. We only sampled a handful. All the food was good, although they didn't cater well for young children, we just encouraged them to try new things! As the facilities in the apartment were so good we did eat in several times. Eating out is fairly expensive.
We would recommend that you wear comfortable, flat shoes with non-slippy soles when walking around the village, as the very old cobbled stoned streets are extremely steep and very very slippy (the streets are so steep that there are hand rails to pull yourself up with or keep your balance on when ascending!!). You do need a car to drive to the many beaches and large supermarkets, but it is only a short journey. You can get basics in the village but they are a bit dearer. Nerja is a much livelier town with plenty of small shops and streets to wander around.
We would definitely recommend.

Very relaxing break

The description on the website simply does not do justice to this property. It is very well laid out, finished to a high standard and is spotlessly clean. The views are terrific and we enjoyed watching the activities on the farm in the valley! The village itself is lovely with plenty of nice walks and places to eat. La Tienda was a favourite, just beside the Church, their home cooking was delicious.
The drive to Granada was worth the effort as was the drive to Alhama de Granada where we bathed in the Hot Springs.
Would definitely recommend Frigiliana and this wonderful property.

This has become one of our best vaccationaccomodations.
My husband and I have stayed here several times, both with and without the teenagers.We start coming back for the easy living,the well-maintained apartment and the view over the valley that you never get bored of.You need to have a car, but it is only a pleasant problem to deal with if you should spend the afternoon at the beach or at the pool at home.The village is really genuine and has a lot of charm.There are many resturants but so far no big supermarket.You can go hiking, there is a gym where we took bodypumpclasses (if you need the excercise) and you can go riding.But best of all is a quiet evening on the terass while the sun goes down, have a glass of cava and enjoy a good dinner. We have had a lovely 12 days here, the apartment is very nice and it is also a lovely area. Thank you for letting us stay - Stuart and Holly July 2004.
We had a great time in Frigiliana, been raving about it to anyone who will listen since our return! The apartment was perfect - loads of space, spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and incredibly well equipped. The location is fabulous with those incredible views and of course just a quick meander up to the village. Frigiliana was a great place for a break - loads to do nearby, near enough the beach to pop down for a quick visit in the afternoon, but much less touristy than the coast - Justina Murray March 2005.
Have enjoyed a fabulous holiday in your wonderful apartment. Hope to be back before too long - Alma April 2005.
