A few of our favourite things to do in and around Frigiliana: beautiful walks in the National Park and through the gorge to the waterfall. Ok, ok, you have to get up early but on the beach in Nerja to the left of the Balcon, it's fascinating, confirmed by many cats at breakfast, to see the fish come in and be prepared as it has for many years. A short stroll or drive to a restaurant in the mountains of Frigiliana in the evening to watch the sun disappear over the stunning view. A 90 minute drive to the Sierra Nevada ski resort for usually amazing skiing (around November-March) but a hot chocolate, a lovely meal and shopping is easily available for non-skiers and great walks out of season. Dragged to caves in Nerja and, I admit, I could then see what all the fuss was about, not just the rude shapes! Music concerts in caves. Nerja Donkey Sanctuary.
