This Fabulous one bedroom apartment is in a small development 100m from the old part of Town. It has a South-facing terrace with morning sun and views to the sea and mountains. The Apartment is approximately 3 years old and is exceptionally well furnished to a very high standard. It is furnished with all the modern fittings you would expect such as: fridge, cooker and hob, washing machine, CD, DVD player, safe, iron and Free View TV. The bedroom has a Queen size bed with fitted wardrobes, Welsh dresser and ceiling fan. The large lounge consists of dinning table with four chairs, sofa bed, ceiling fan and patio doors leading onto the terrace. The modern bathroom has basin, shower and WC. The shared large swimming pool has three sun beds and parasol available. The Village of Frigiliana has a fully equipped gymnasium available along with many restaurants. The Town of Nerja is only minutes away with the Burriana beach a short walk from the Town.

The village of Frigiliana has been inhabited for over 500 years and is situated in the Axarquia region and nestles in the lower slopes of the Almijara Mountains. Surrounded by the beautiful countryside with ample opportunities for Walking and Riding through the National park. The local weather is fine all year round and in the winter months it is possible to drive to Granada to ski and then return to the coast of Nerja to scuba dive. The village boasts a fine selection of restaurants with some offering beautiful views over the village and local countryside. This is not a place for those seeking organised entertainment. Nightlife consists of dinner out followed by a romantic stroll through the jasmine-scented streets. Notes: This Fabulous privately owned apartment is in a small development situated only 100 meters from the Old-Town. It has a South-facing terrace with morning sun and views to the sea and mountains. It is exceptionally well furnished to a very high standard. Our Agents Liz and Barry Davis will meet and greet you (normal hrs 07.am-10.00pm) with keys on arrival and will be on hand to assist you with any queries you may have through-out your stay. A 'Welcome Grocery Pack' can also be provided on request. The apartment is available from 15.00pm on the day or your arrival and we would kindly request that you vacate no later than 10.00 am on the day of your departure. The rental includes electricity. Linen and towels are provided (except beach towels). Cleaning is paid separately from the rental (65 Euros) and is paid directly to our agents and is compulsory. Additional fresh linen and cleaning can be ordered through our agents. A refundable deposit is required of £150.00.

Frigiliana is just a few kilometres from Nerja rising up into the hills. It dates back to Pre-Historic times being inhabited by both Romans and Arabics. It is a village of unparalleled beauty that the locals are truly appreciative off. Frigiliana is the most honoured Town within the Axarquia province. The most cherished being in 1982, it's 1st place for the most beautiful place in all of Spain. All these honours endorse that Frigiliana stands alone in terms of Beauty and Charm. As you discover the white washed streets of the village, stop and read some of the ceramic plaques describing it's history. The restaurants offer a wide range of local dishes along with dishes to suit the visitor. Take time to sit outside one of the local cafes and enjoy the magnificent views down to the coastline.

Golf: There are two Golf courses within a short drive from Frigiliana.

Skiing and Scuba Diving: The nearest Ski slopes are within a 90 minute drive from Frigiliana as well as Scuba diving facilities on Nerja beach a brief 4 miles from the village.

Casa Sofia was perfect, based in a good location in Frigiliana, not too far up the hill, so hiking boots weren't needed, but based very close to the heart of the old town.

The apartment is very nice and cosy with all the facilities you could want and very reasonably priced considering Frigiliana's a very sought after location.

The pool area was great with terrific views and there are even sea views from the balcony of the apartment which was nice.

On the whole a very enjoyable experience in one of the nicest parts of Spain and a very comfortable apartment from which to explore the many attractions that the local area has to offer.

Situated in a beautiful village

Just returned from a really relaxing week in this picturesque village. If you want to unwind and have a peaceful holiday this is the place for you. We love the outdoors and spent 2-3 hours every morning exploring the surrounding countryside. Leaflets with details of local walks and costing 1euro each, are available from the information office in Frigiliana.
The apartment is clean and compact with a small balcony. At night there are lots of interesting restaurants where you can enjoy delicious food at reasonable cost - they nearly all have fantastic views from their terraces.

Had a brilliant holiday in this lovely apartment and found it to be very clean and modern with everything you required. We especially liked the pool area with its wonderful views.

Frigiliana is a lovely village with very nice restaurants and great walks. We recommend the walk through the gorge down the river bed to Nerja which was challenging in parts but worth the effort.

We thoroughly recommend this apartment and look forward to returning again very soon.

Viva Espagne!

We've just returned from a fabulous hoiday in Frigiliana. It definitely has to be the prettiest village in Andalucia for sure! The apartment was perfect; modern, cosy and comfortable, with everything you needed for a week away. It really was a home from home. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch on the terrace with lovely views of the med. The gardens and communal area were beautiful, with views over the surrounding hills. The location of the apartment is in a lovely quiet area of the old town, you are literally just minutes away from the church and the pretty winding streets. We were really struck by how spotlessly clean everywhere was. We hired a car and drove to Granada to the Alhambra, which we would definitely recommend (we booked online at the internet cafe in Nerja). The drive through the Sierra Nevada was spectacular and only took about an hour. The city itself is woth a visit too. We also enjoyed a couple of lovely meals at La Bodeguilla and a good value menu of the day at Los Cristianos, both in Frigiliana. We were blessed with gorgeous weather everyday bar one, and were only sorry we hadn't booked for longer.

Casa Sophia, Frigiliana

Having stayed in several privately owned apartments in various locations in Europe I can safely say that Casa Sophia was among the nicest we've visited. The apartment was immaculately furnished and had everything we needed for our stay, including a varied selection of reading books and few DVD's. There was a very useful information booklet provided by the owners of the apartment detailing the wide variety of sights to see in the cost Del Sol region. The terrace which overlooked a typically attractive side street of Frigiliana also had an impressive view of the coast and surrounding hills.

The swimming pool was very well maintained and clean and also had panoramic views of the coast and surrounding countryside, although it was still a little cold for swimming in April. It was only a five minute walk into the centre of the old town, but on a note of warning, this did entail some very steep cobbled streets so a good degree of fitness and flat shoes are essential to fully enjoy this.

Frigiliana is an incredibly beautiful village with a good range of typically Spanish restaurants most of which are very reasonably priced. Every restaurant we dined in had outdoor seating areas often boasting breathtaking views of scenary.It is advisable to take a phrase book for shopping as you will need to speak some Spanish in several of the smaller shops which sell typical Spanish foods and local produce such as ceramics and leather goods. There is also a good range of reasonably priced Spanish wine which will be a must for those of us who enjoy a good Rioja!

I will reccomend this location for anyway who wants a quiet holiday surrounded by beautiful scenary, good food and wine and wants to avoid the usual "British Bars" and nightclubs as you won't find any of these in Frigiliana.
