Recently build air conditioned, two bedroom spacious, penthouse apartment in the much sought after Monte Canada complex with secure underground car parking, set in a very beautiful and convenient location. The apartment has two full bathrooms, one being en-suite The apartment include s satellite TV and DVD players. Fully fitted kitchens with microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and oven. This apartment will sleep four to six people very comfortably. It has patio doors from both lounge and master bedroom leading onto a large covered terrace with outside dining area. Also a spiral stairway from the balcony up to a large private open roof terrace with barbecue and covered area plus magnificent views of the coast line and Andalucian mountains. There is a lift from the underground parking up to the floor of the apartment with wheelchair access.

This sought after Monte Canada Complex in the up market area of Torreblanca has a large number of excellent golf courses within the locality as well as plenty of opportunities for those who wish to go horse riding or sailing. The award winning marina at Benalmadena is just one of the many attractions and only a short distance away as is the town centre of Fuengirola, both of which have a lively nightlife and excellent restaurants. Torreblanca has easy access to Seville, Granada & Cordoba by car, by bus or by train using the nearby rail link with it's frequent services plus the recently opened Picasso Museum in Malaga. A perfect base to explore the coast, sight see, enjoy a favourite sport or laze around the swimming pools or the local sandy beaches which are a few minutes walk away

    Rental rates are for the apartment (not per person) for a seven night stay. All bathroom towels and linen are provided plus iron, ironing board and hairdryer - beach towels are not provided,. A travel cot can be supplied with prior arrangement. Deposit of £100 is required to secure a booking which also acts as damages deposit which will be returned after your holiday subject to no damage during your stay. This is the 2nd time we have been to this appartment and again it did not disapoint. The apartment is very clean and maintained to a high standard, it has a huge roof terrace which gets the sun all day - which is a huge plus for us. We haven't used the pool so I cant comment on that but it always looks lovely and the grounds are very well kept. The area is mainly residential and so you do get some dogs barking but this is minimal and the area is a lot quieter than the tourist areas. The only killer is the hill - any one who as been thre will no what i talking about. Although you do get used to it and it does help to burn off those extra calories!!!!! It is a short walk into the centre (10-15mins) which again is not a problem. there is plenty to do and loads of lovely places to eat. Ocean View do a cracking breakfast, lovely sanwiches and wegdes with garlic dip. El Rio is further into the centre but again we go several times when we visit and the food is spot on, Royal Spice indian is lovely (on the front) and the big chinese restaurant near the square is gorgeous. Edwardos is nice for a coffee or late night drinks when you are heading back. We found the best supermarket that was closest to the apartment was the one just down from the main round about on the dual carriage way, get your shopping then catch a taxi outside Fuengerola Park hotel 6 euros. The Train station is so close and easy to use - we generally get the train from the airport (3 euros) then catch a taxi from outside the Hotel (although they do charge extra when they see you have cases). Overall I would recommend this apartment to anybody - although bear in mind that if you have elderly people in your party that you will need to hire a car or get taxis (the apartment as its own allocated parking spot). as ive said the major plus for us is the huge roof terrace, you can sunbathe all day with no hassle at all............im already looking forward to giong back next year. my wife and I spent a week in monte canada and found the apartment brilliant for relaxing in a get away from it all environment - the apartment had all we could possibly need for the week including a welcome pack and full UK tv channels (beware the evening spanish channels) I would return exept that I prefer a shorter walk to the shops 20mins at least - local dogs that bark incessantly in the mornings and evenings - and the horrendous taxis fares back up the steep hill, a four minute ride costs between 7 and 9 euros. I would have hired a car had I known the problems.
We were urged to use Carlos car service from the airport to the apartment which would normally have cost 30 euros for the 30 minute drive but our flight was delayed and we were charged 50 euros to get to the apartment and 30 euros for the return. Carlos was a great guy and looked after us well but he was used to get us in to the apartment, give us the key and show us around - I feel that this service cost us extra and for this reason and for others listed we would not use the apartment again.
There is some building work going on behind the apartment but it is not invasive and did not cause us any problems.
Owner's Response: As owner of this property, I would like to respond to this review. Carlos has been a reliable taxi service for us and we trust him to sometimes let our guests into the apartment if we are unable to attend. He has obviously charged more for his services for this guest on arrival as the flight was delayed. He does not charge for letting people into the apartment. The nearest shops are on the beachfront which is a 10 - 15 min walk downhill. However for larger supermarkets you are better to go further into the centre of town by bus or car. We endeavour to make our guests as comfortable as possible and are sorry this did not happen on this occasion.

What a fab apartment!

We had a fantastic holiday in the MonteCanada complex.

The apartment was spacious, clean, had everything you could possibly need...and the most enormous roof terrace.

The pool was lovely and the beach only 10 minutes walk away. The station where you can catch the train into surrounding towns and into Malaga is also only 10 minutes walk away.

When we arrived at the apartment the owners were there to meet us and provided a welcome pack with wine, food and drinks in the fridge - what a great start to our holiday!

There is no nightlife or a shop close by (15 minute walk to the nearest bar and small supermarket) which is a shame but the facilities in the apartment were so perfect that we found we spent many evenings on the roof terrace sipping wine and enjoying a bbq. The bus stop however is very handy for heading into Fuengirola and taxis were not too expensive to get back.

We would highly recommend this apartment, it is everything you could want from a hoiday apartment along with extremely friendly and helpful owners!
