This well-equipped BEACHFRONT home from home is bigger than most one bedroom apartments. It has a large enclosed terrace with MAGNIFICENT SEA & BEACH VIEWS, a large living area, a separate well equipped kitchen. and a modern shower room. It easily sleeps 3, the beds are custom made and comfortable, and an additional cot is available. It contains dishwasher, washing machine, satellite TV, DVD player and DVDs, selection of books, hairdryer and safe. It is 7th floor, with three lifts and is very secure with entry phone. The gardens are very private and well maintained. There is a large swimming pool and we also have our own garden furniture there (sunbeds, sun chairs and deck chairs) for your use. EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR AN ENJOYABLE STAY. The garden gate gives you private access directly to the beach which has EU Blue Flag Status for being the cleanest and best along this coast. Ideal for holiday rental - the setting is very tranquil but you are only a short walk to the village centre.

The apartment is on the beachfront at Butiplaya, which is a few minutes walk from the centre of La Cala (either along the beach or the traditional Spanish streets). It is a lively fishing village that retains much of its culture. It has a wide range of Spanish/International shops and bars and a very good twice weekly market. The apartment has a private and tranquil setting and there are some good bars/restaurants from value and cheap to special night out, beach bars and a lovely bakery in the immediate area. Local hotel offers good entertainment to non-residents. La Cala is located between Fuengirola and Marbella. These and Puerto Banus, Riviera del Sol, Torremolinos, Malaga, Benalmadena, Mijas Pueblo etc are all less than half an hour's drive. Seville, Granada, Ronda etc are easy day trips. No need to hire a car (although there is plenty of parking if you do). The bus service is very good, as are the taxis, both are very reasonably priced. We can arrange an airport transfer.

An ideal base whatever type of holiday you want ..: If you are looking for a place with lots of activities then it is all here on your doorstep - golf, tennis, horse riding, watersports, walking, cycling, bowls etc. This is a lovely stretch of coast with beautiful beaches, great bars, wonderful shops (eg Puerto Banus) and lots to do, whatever your requirements. Of course, you may just prefer to relax by the wonderful swimming pool and listen to the sound of the waves lapping along the shore!!!

I know it has taken me a while to send you this message but returning to work after a week takes a while to catch up to.
I just wanted to thank you for allowing us to rent your studio apartment in Cala de Mijas. The location was amazing and the studio was really well equipted, we did not miss anything from home. I love photography and was able to take some really nice pictures of sunrises from the bay windows, I shall send you some when I have a chance to download them into my computer.
What we really enjoyed the most was the quietness, we were very surprised to see that there weren't that many people on the beach and in the building at this time of year ( Easter is suppossed to be peak season ). If I new I was going to have that week next year I would reserve it right way :-))!

Great location with amazing views !

We had an amazing holiday staying in La Cala. The description of the property is spot on - a large studio apartment with custom made beds (fold-away) with kitchenette and bathroom. The biggest selling point though is the view! A gorgeous sea view that you spend ages just admiring. The owners have placed comfortable seating on the enclosed balcony. Waking up to the sound of the ocean is exactly what a holiday should be about! The owners appear to have thought of everything you could need, including blackout curtains if a lie-in is required. The apartment block has a large pool in the grounds, which is perfect for doing laps. The garden and pool area is beautifully maintained. The location couldn't be better, there is a small store next door for stocking up on essentials and the restuarants and town centre are a very short walk away. The bus service is reasonably good too. The owners were great - arranging a taxi from the airport and then meeting us at the apartment to hand over keys and a general explaination of the apartment etc. They have also prepared a booklet, which gave helpful tips. A tip for future guests - the restuarants on the beach appear to be more expensive and we saved going to the restuarants in the centre (which are excellent!). Please note it is a studio apartment. We would recommend this property, due the location, view and good value. Enjoy!

As a studio of 50 square metres in size,it is bigger than most of the 1 bedroom apartments in the area so we think guests will find it comfortable, especially waking up to those gorgeous sea views every morning.

Great apartment in a really lovely village

We stayed at the apartment recently and found it to be a really good base. La Cala de Mijas is a really nice village and has loads of good bars and restaurants. It took around 20 minutes to get from Malaga Airport and the owners arranged a taxi to pick us up. They met us there with the keys and to help orientate us with the area. The property had everything we needed. It matched its description on the website - and was a very large and bright studio. The beach and sea views were really beautiful and it was very clean and recently painted. It was very central and easy to stroll into the village but the community itself was very private and beautifully maintained, particularly the gardens and pool. The owners came round with clean linen and towels during the stay and to make sure we had everything we needed. They gave us their telephone number for emergencies.
The bus and taxi services were very good, although we did also rent a car for a few days. There were lots of day trips to do. We enjoyed people watching at Puerto Banus and also went to Granada which took us less than two hours. Fuengirola was a very easy bus ride, as was Marbella. I would thoroughly recommend the apartment and the area and will certainly be back again.

Our recent holiday at La Cala de Mijas

We recently stayed at this apartment and really enjoyed our holiday. The apartment is conveniently located and is very well furnished. It is particularly well equipped for a holiday apartment, we were very pleased to have a safe, hairdryer, British television, dishwasher etc - and it was very clean and well maintained. The owners of the apartment live nearby. They arranged a taxi to pick us up, met us with the keys, came with fresh linen and towels and popped round during our stay to make sure everything was ok for us. The apartment is on the beachfront set in very attractive gardens. There are a couple of very nice beach bars just outside the apartment's beach entrance. It is only a short walk into the village of La Cala and there are also very nice bars, and a lovely bakery, scattered along the walk. We found the village itself charming. The bus service was good and easy to get around. I have already recommended the apartment to some friends thinking of a holiday in Spain.
