Two luxury apartments forming part of a private villa. The swimming pool is heated during March, April, May and October to extend the swimming season, There is also free use of a Hydrotherapy spa with seats for six people. It is under cover and heated to 35' all year. Each apartment has a kitchenette with granite surfaces, and is fully equipped with oven, ceramic hob, fridge freezer, slow cooker, oven, microwave and washing machine. They also have lounge/ dining room, one twin and one queen bedroom, two shower rooms, washing machine, sky TV, air co./ heating units in every room, private BBQ and parking spaces. The private terraces have stunning views of the coastline, village and mountains. In some weather conditions you can see as far as Morocco and Gibraltar. The central location of Mijas makes it the perfect destination to either relax or explore this beautiful region. PLEASE NOTE. THERE ARE MORE STEPS LEADING TO CASITA JANINE THAN CASITA JULIAN. Details for Casita Julian 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4, 2 Bathrooms

Casita Julian is on the opposite side of the villa to Casita Janine. It has an elegant lounge with a crystal chandelier, a twin bedroom and another bedroom with queen size bed and two shower rooms. The kitchenette has a double ceramic hob, griddle, toaster, microwave, washing machine, iron and board and a tall fridge with a small freezer above. It is also fully equipped with utensils, crockery and cutlery. Like Casita Janine it also has its own security alarm and wireless internet access.. Although this apartment has no panoramic views from the rooms, it does have a private roof terrace with even more stunning 360 degree views of the coast, village and mountains. On this terrace is a small table and chairs and space for sun bathing. Outside the lounge below is another, larger terrace which is divided into two sections, one covered with a dining table and six chairs for al fresco dining and the other for sun bathing. This terrace does not have views but is also entirely private.

Mijas Pueblo is a gem of Spain, small and with immense character yet close to the large number of modern leisure facilities that Fuengirola, Marbella and Malaga offer and shopping that is as good as anywhere in the world. The apartments are within a ten minute walk of the centre of the village, although it must be said our road is steep so older people and those with very young children may prefer to drive into the village. Our fantastic views are worth it though. There are several small supermarkets for daily needs and over forty restaurants so even if you don't have a car you will not have to cook if you don't want to. If you decide to hire a car there are many places of interest and beauty to visit with something for everyone within a short distance of the villa. Marbella, Ronda, Gibraltar, the Lakes, Granada (the Alhambra), Fuengirola to mention but a few. You will be spoilt for choice. Additional information about rental rates

  • The rates include before and after cleaning and all bed linen. For rentals of two weeks or more, towels and bedding will be changed at the end of one week. Although towels will be provided for the apartment, please note that bathing towels will not be provided.
    There will be a reducition of £20 per week if there are only two people and only one bedroom is used.
    For all stays of three weeks or more a special rate can be arranged. This rate will depend on if our guests wish to do thier own cleaning and if they require the bedding and towels laundered. Please enquire for individual prices.
    There will also be a welcome pack of bread, water, butter, eggs, milk and a bottle of wine.
  • We expect every person renting an apartment to ensure that each member of their party has holiday insurance. Full payment will be required for any cancelation made less than six weeks prior to arrival date.
  • We do not charge a breakage deposit and depend on the honesty of our clients if anything is damaged. So far we have not been let down and hope that this will always be the case.

Notes: Smoking is only permitted on the private terrace belonging to each apartment and not on the pool or covered spa terraces nor the garden. The pool has a special cleansing system that does not require the use of chlorine, making it better for skin and hair. It is heated in March, April and October to extend the swimming season but can be heated during the winter months by prior arrangement and at extra cost. The apartment is cleaned thoroughly between clients and bed linen and towels are changed each week. There is welcome pack of bread, butter, water, milk, eggs and a bottle of wine. When booking please state if you prefer red or white wine. We are here to give our guests as much (or as little) help and information about the area as they require. Notes on rental rates: There are many excellent golf courses close to the apartments of Villa Innisfree. It is also possible to ski in the Sierra Nevada which is just under two hours away. We would be pleased to discuss rates for longer lets from the beginning of November until the end of February. The rate would depend on whether or not cleaning and laundry are required. A welcome pack of bread, butter, water, milk, eggs and a bottle of wine is placed in the apartment for your arrival. Please state if you prefer red or white wine when booking. In order to clean for the next guests the apartment must be vacated by 10.30am at the latest. Luggage may be left at the villa and collected later. Changeover day is Saturday but this can possibly be flexible during the winter months.

Location: Mijas Pueblo is ideally placed for a lazy holiday when you sun bathe, admire the views and eat well but it is also perfect for those who like to visit interesting places. Marbella and Malaga are a twenty minute drive, Seville and Granada (the Alhambra Palace) can be reached in two hours and historic Cordoba takes one and a half hours. Gibraltar is an hour away as is the beautiful mountain town of Ronda. In the winter you can ski in the Sierra Nevada (one and a half hours away) in the morning and if you have the energy it is possible to be back in time for a round of golf at one of the numerous courses just a ten minute drive from the apartment. You can then round the day off with a rejuvenating dip in the spa. A relaxing or energising holiday, the choice is yours.

Eating out: There are many restaurants within walking distance of the apartment but there are numerous others within a ten minute drive. Anything from a complete meal with twenty choices in each course for €7.25 to a special night out in luxurious surroundings with Cordon Bleu cuisine. We would be pleased to advise and recommend restaurants in the area that we have visited personally and where we believe the food and ambiance to be excellent. Bon Appetit.

We spent 2 weeks in Casita Julian in June 2009. What a fabulous property and destination. The property was 1st class with every item you would require at home never mind on holiday. The views from the property were magic.
The apartment was extremely clean with lovely furnishings. Joan and maurice, the owners could not have been more helpful when required, they were better than a holiday Rep on a package holiday, although not intrusive in anyway.
Mijas itself was beautiful, very Spanish with some lovely shops and restaurants. We will definately visit this property again.

Excellent accommodation in a beautifull area

We stayed in Casita Janine for 2 weeks from 20th June 2009. The apartment was beautiful with fantastic panoramic views. Everything was spotless with excellent facilities. We cannot thank Joan and Maurice enough for all their help with where to visit and which restaurants were best, nothing was a problem to them. We will definately return to Mijas and the same apartments.

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Mijas with friends Sandy & Mike. Having been to Joan and Maurice's previous apartment some 8 years ago we didn't think it could be better, but what a surprise. Casita Janine is fantastic. The views are stunning day and night. The apartment is furnished most comfortably, it is clean and welcoming - with the benefit of a welcome pack including the all important bottle of wine. Joan and Maurice are excellent hosts, always on hand, but never intrusive. We were fortunate that the Games Area was completed whilst we were there and we were able to take refuge from the sunshine and organise our own tournament. A great facility for adults and children alike. We were pleased that we had hired a car as although not a necessity there is an extremely steep hill or about 90 steps to climb from the village. FABULOUS HOLIDAY RETREAT!

We have just returned from staying in Casita Julian for 1 week and didn't want to come back!! A perfect setting for a relaxing holiday or break.

Joan and Maurice are the perfect hosts and are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They are there if you need them for advice on local information/restaurants/sites but will respect your privacy too.

Casita Julian is fab! A perfect apartment which is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with all amenities that you would require and with two bedrooms and two bathrooms so that you're not falling over each other! Suitable for couples on their own (like us) or for families. This apartment also has it's own private roof terrace which is not overlooked and has the most wonderful views and where you can see Gibraltar and North Africa on a good day! As is the resort which has everything you need with a gorgeous spa that we used regularly.

Easy access to the town or if you wanted to jump on the bus which stops at the end of the road. Having the excellent views though means that this is situated above the town and with an easy walk down, will then require a steady climb back up! We were certainly fitter by the end of the week! Suggestion - hiring a car is an option but taxis are available easily if required.

This is our second visit to Mijas which we love but our first visit to Casita Julian. We loved every minute of our stay here and will certainly be coming back in 2009! Many thanks to Joan and "Hombre Libre".

The Perfect Place!

We stayed in Casita Julien for two weeks at the end of August 2008 with our daughters aged 17 & 21. We had a fabulous time and really can’t recommend it highly enough.

The apartment was a real home from home and Joan’s attention to detail is superb and we really did want for nothing. It was immaculately clean, comfortable and spacious enough for the four of us. Unlike a lot of apartments, the kitchen whilst small was really well equipped with a full size oven & hob and fridge freezer as well as a washing machine and microwave. Cooking for four was no problem. The two bedrooms are a good size and the beds are really comfortable – we have never slept so well! The lounge is well furnished and a comfortable place to relax.

The views from the roof terrace are breath taking whichever direction you choose – to the front you see the coast – to the left the lovely village of Mijas Pueblo and to the right and rear the spectacular mountain range. It is a lovely place to sit and relax with a glass of sangria.

The pool is a good size and is a great place to spend a leisurely day and the hydrotherapy spa is amazing.

Mijas Pueblo is a lovely village and quite unspoilt despite its popularity with tourists. There are lots of lovely restaurants wine bars and craft shops to enjoy. If you want to explore, the bus services are pretty good and taxi prices are reasonable if you don’t have a car.

Joan and Maurice are the type of hosts you want on a holiday – welcoming and available if needed but by no means intrusive. Their help with directions and places to see were really helpful and we came to look upon them as friends by the time we left. We will definitely be back!
