The Perfect Holiday Base

The private pool, balcony and roof terrace gave this studio apartment the feel of a small villa. Perfectly located for touring the Costa, venturing inland or just lazing around, we thoroughly enjoyed our week in Mijas. The apartment was very comfortable with stunning views and even during the busy fair week was surprisingly quiet and peaceful.

Henri and Marian made both the booking process and holiday so easy - for which many thanks. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to any other couple.

To be expected on a hill side property, there are quite a few steps through the garden and up to the apartment which could be difficult for some less mobile visitors.

Vegetarians are not always well catered for in Spain and we had some difficulties at the restaurants very near to the villa, (though they are highly rated by other visitors), but in the main town the restaurant owners were more than happy to cater for our menu requests and the food was excellent.

If we can escape on holiday without children again, we will be back!

An amazing place to stay !

We have only just returned today from a fantastic full two weeks stay at Casa San Pablo .
The photos are good here on the site but really you need to go to see for your self the great views from the studio apartment .
Picture it then ...you have cooked a good steak on the BBQ that sits on the wonderful terrace and you are looking at the lovely mountains and the white houses that sits beneath them and look up to see an ocean of stars in the sky , perfect .. well it was for us !
This was our 2nd visit to Mijas but 1st to stay at Casa San Pablo .
The apartment was very clean and had every thing you needed and Henri and Marian were there also if you needed help with anything .
Henri was very good booking our early morning taxis as we choosed to travel by public transport this year when we went anywhere and were very happy with it !
Buses were new with aircon , trains clean and on time !
Mijas has some great places to eat , try La Reja over looking the square ..we did twice this time .
We got our steak from the supermarket next door to the bar called Churchills , the supermarket has a bit of every thing , the butcher does good beefburgers and sausages too !
We had a good Sunday lunch at Churchills which is near the Town Hall .
This year we took a trip to Malaga , a beautiful city , Ronda a must to see we did it by trains ..... a day trip to Morocco most interesting .
Boat trip to see the dolphins .
Days spent reading on the terrace and then cooling off in the lovely private pool . One morning I woke to see a lovely red sky so had to take photos quick before it changed !
This studio apartment is very close to all you need in the village and we would loved to return .
I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment .

Our Perfect Holiday Venue

We have just returned from a wonderful fortnight at the beautiful studio at Casa Pablo. The studio is set in an ideal location, nestled on the edge of Mijas Pueblo, only a short 5 minute walk to retaurants and bars. To say the views are breathaking is an understatement. From the large terrace one feels cradled by a view of mountains, white houses and ocean. We spent much tranquil time sitting on the terrace taking it all in. The studio itself is very self-contained, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The pool has sun lounges and a peek a boo view of the mountains; again there was such a sense of peace and privacy.

We found the location perfect for exploring much of Andalucia with Granada, Ronda, Tarifa, Estepona and Nerja all within commutable distance.

Marian and Henri are lovely hosts, unassuming, friendly, and extremely helpful.
We are reliving our memories of meandering the beautiful white village at sunset, enjoying tapas, listening to flamenco guitar music and taking in the Spanish good vibes.

We not only would recommend Casa Pablo, but we are wanting to plan our next trip already!

A little piece of heaven

We have just returned from a 4 night break at this breathtaking studio. It was everything mentioned and more.

The large totally private balcony accessed from the patio doors and french windows has fantastic 270 degree views of sierra mijas mountains and the abundance of beautiful white hanging villas as well as the magnificent coastline and mijas village.

It is fully equipped with table and ample seating as well as 2 wooden loungers with comfy cushions and a bbq.
The perfect spot for sunrise, breakfast, relaxing after a walk, sunbathing, sunset, stargazing or at any time with an ice cold drink.

There is also a rooftop terrace with 360 degree views. This is equipped with bbq, sun loungers, table etc and overlooking the pretty little pool.

Our highlights of the studio were being able to watch the sunrise from our bed in the morning and being able to view mijas pueblo through the bathroom window whilst taking a shower.

The nearby garage at the bottom of the road (2-3 mins walk downhill, a bit more strenuous coming back uphill !!!!) supplies fresh baguettes straight from the oven in the morning as well as danish pastries, croissants etc along with other daily supplies (fruit juice, water, coffee etc).
There is good stocked supermarket a bit further (euroski) for bigger amounts of shopping.

Everyone in Mijas is happy. It's a place that we loved more and more with every passing minute.
We found fantastic bars and restaurants every one of them special in its own way. Even the touristy shops weren't tacky!

The studio owners Henri and Marian were perfect. Just like a good waiter. We weren't aware that they were there but they were there whenever we needed them.
