Situated in the attractive coastal town of Torre del Mar, on the less commercialised eastern part of the Costa del Sol, this is a recently refurbished apartment with everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday and offering good value for money. Plenty of local amenities including an attractive 4km long promenade with restaurants serving locally caught fish. Golf courses and a water park nearby, plus many other places of interest to visit; 22km to Nerja, 100km to Granada, 180km to Gibraltar, 48km from Malaga airport, many local bus services, tram service to Velez-Malaga and commercial centre, car hire would be useful but not essential. Good selection of shops within walking distance. Finished to a high standard, other features include satellite TV, DVD/VCR, radio/tape/CD player, ironing facilities, washing machine, furnished balcony with great sea views, air conditioning/heating included, linen (not beach towels) included. Guests will find the apartment 'hotel clean'.

Torre del Mar has many international restaurants to choose from, all of which are reasonably priced, menu of the day is around €7. You can choose from traditional Spanish, Italian, Indian, Chinese, Argentinian, Mexican, French and Moroccan, plus 'chiringuitos' serving fresh fish. Also, there are plenty of bars and cafes to suit all tastes & ages and ice cream parlours 'heladerias' along the seafront serving enormous (and delicious) ice cream sundaes. A variety of water sports are available on the beach and others at nearby Lake Vinuela, also a new golf course about 5km away. Torre del Mar has excellent road links and is therefore a very good starting point for those wishing to explore the region. There are plenty of traditional Spanish 'white villages' within easy reach and beautiful countryside with stunning views. Although a full day out, Gibraltar is well worth a visit for duty free shopping as well as sightseeing. We provide a House Book with details of all local activities.

Notes: Not suitable for children as the apartment sleeps 2 adults. The kitchen is fully equipped with full-sized fridge-freezer, electric fan oven and grill, 4 ring gas hob with automatic electronic ignition and automatic safety shut-off feature, washing machine, electric kettle and toaster. We provide a hairdryer, iron and ironing board and fold-away clothes dryer, which can be used on the balcony, there is also a large open-air drying area on the roof of the building with conventional washing lines. There is UK satellite TV, a DVD player and video cassette recorder and a stereo system consisting of radio, tape player and CD player which plays proprietary CDs, CD-Rs and CD-RWs recorded with both audio tracks and MP3 files, plus MP3 player connection lead. Air-conditioning units are provided in both the bedroom and the lounge, which can either cool or heat. Operating instructions are supplied for all appliances. The pool is open 15 June to 15 September, the beach is just over the road.

Relaxing holiday had by one and all

We have just returned from Torre Del Mar and would like to highly recommend this accomodation. The apartment is central for the beach and local shops. Eveything is within walking distance and we did not feel the need to hire a car. The tram service and bus service are very good and are at the end of the road.
Good restaurants especially the Pizza restaurant on the sea front,
The supermarkets are also within walking distance . Locals are all very friendly but we would suggest that you take a pharse book as there is very little English spoken and it is also good to know a few words!!!
Property was clean and maintained well.
With all the above and the excellant Costa Del Sol weather what more can you ask for.

Apartment in Torre del Mar

This apartment is excellent in every way. The owners met us and gave us a very warm welcome, explaining everything and even came back a few days later to let us know that there was to be a couple of days public holiday and therefore everything would be closed apart from restaurants. The apartment was very clean, well furnished and extremely comfortable. It was equiped with absolutely everything you could need. There was also an information pack which covered use of equipment and details of restaurants and places to visit. The location is excellent, with a lovely sea view, and close to all facilities. We tried several restaurants but our all-time favourite was 'Tanit', which was just across the road, on the sea front. The set meal of 7 courses of tapas was amazing for only 10 euros, as were other dishes from the A la Carte menu. We went there to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary and had an excellent meal. It was the end of February when we visited Torre del Mar, and although quite quiet most places were open. The property was excellent value for money and we would certainly highly recommend it.

Does What It Says on the Tin - and more!

This is a well-maintained, well-equipped apartment in a superb location at the heart of a still very Spanish resort. A very long promenade and sandy beach are on the doorstep.
The helpful owners met us on arrival at the apartment and provided a useful and comprehensive information package.
There is a huge selection of restaurants, bars and cafes close by, even including a Spanish take-away.
Though you can access everything you need within walking distance in Torre del Mar itself, use of a hire car would give access to the region's many mountains and nature reserves with great opportunities for sightseeing, birdwatching, walking waymarked trails, rock climbing etc.
Highly recommended.

great apartment, great location

Had a great time in Torre Del Mar in part due to the excellent facilities and location of this flat. Its great for a couple looking to explore the area with Torre Del Mar being a friendly and very Spanish seaside town.
Location is great for visiting other areas such as Velez Malaga, Frigliana, Torrox.
Flat has great sea views and a very spacious balcony. Inside the lounge is very comfortable with sky tv and lots of books to read! Kitchen has all the amenities, the bedroom has a very comfy bed and the bathroom is very clean with plenty of towels. Overall the flat is totally as described and very clean. The people in the block are very friendly which was great as we are learning Spanish!!
The owners are very friendly and helpful and there is plenty of information in the flat to assist you in choosing restaurants and trips out.
Given that we were aiming to practice our Spanish we tended to eat in typically Spanish restaurants. There are a few British ones that looked nice but we didnt use them.
The menu del dia in the Meson across the road was great for 7 euros. We ate breakfast a fair bit in the Eden (mainly as they had v good churros) and we used a couple of the chiringuitos on the beach which did great seafood.
The promenade in Torrre Del Mar is fantastic and we did alot of walking.
Overall a fantastic property and a lovely area of Spain.
