Parque Montemar: This is a large 3 bedroom apartment situated between Benalmadena and Torremolinos in the locality of Montemar. The complex is 10 minutes walk from Carihuela beach, renowned for its seafood restaurants, its beautiful promenades and blue flag. 5 minutes walk from the apartment is the Montemar station on the regional train line, which runs 18 hours a day from Fuengirola to Malaga where it connects onto the national rail system. There is also a local bus service, which stops nearby. Malaga airport is 15 minutes away by taxi or 20 minutes by train. The main ring motorway along the Costa Del Sol is easily accessed for fast travel times to other parts of Andalucia. An overnight trip to Sevilla is strongly recommended by all who have visited, a journey by car of not more than 3 hours. Gibraltar makes an excellent day trip too and the ferry can be taken from Malaga or from Algeciras to Tangiers in Morocco.

Benalmadena port comes highly recommended for its nightlife, as well as the 24 hour square area which is packed with nightclubs open ‘til early morning. These are within a 20 minute walk of the apartment, as well as the attractions of Torremolinos on the other side which is a similar distance away. Marbella and Puerta Banus are a taxi ride away and well worth a visit.

Local Attractions: The historic city of Malaga makes a great day trip. It is littered with Moorish castles, ancient cathedrals and of course the Picasso museum to mention but a few. It has a modern shopping district, the rival of any major European city and it is easily accessible via road, rail or sea. A great way to visit is to take the boat service from Benalmadena port that drops passengers directly into Malaga port in the centre of town.

Other Attractions: Other attractions include local markets, Aquapark, 10 pin bowling, Tivoli world, Sea World Benalmadena, Fuengirola zoo, numerous golf clubs, seafront water-sports and an unending selection of bars and restaurants no more than 10 minutes walk away.
