1 Bdrm apt adjacent to beach at Torrox Costa

My review is based on my family holiday with my wife and son using the suggested criteria for writing reviews:
* Was the description accurate regarding the location, layout, facilities, etc.? Yes, lovely location and internal courtyard, reminded my of the Moorish designs - Well lit at night time and bright, clean, light and airy during the day. Location is excellent, right next to beach. (1-2 minute walk!)
* Was the property clean, well-maintained, etc.? Yes to all, lady clean the internal courtyard.
* Did the owner provide good customer service? Yes, excellent communications. From the outset of our booking, owner told us of near by building works and offer us a choice to cancel or accept appropriate discount. Took discount and we were out all day during our stay, so building works did not really affect us.
* Would you recommend this property to a friend? Yes!
* What activities, attractions and restaurants did you like or dislike? Family friendly, quiet, very good amenities nearby, next to the long promenade with lots of good restaurants and play areas. We went before the school holidays and it was perfect, just comfortably quiet, with friendly Spaniards being the holiday makers - it was definitely more a local holiday resort, than an 'everywhere you look 'British' holiday makers' resort.
Having said that, there is an excellent ex-pat couple owned and run pub/cafe next to the apartment - lovely, friendly and helpful couple, excellent with our son! Good food too!
The beach itself is excellent - long, deep and clean - our son loved it. With a gift shop at the foot of the beach, selling all sorts including beach toys, postcards, beers, ice cream, soft drinks, crisps, etc.
15 minutes walk, there are 2 supermarkets, if you are looking for a bigger shop to stock up the fridge and cupboards.
We had a hire car and went to the Nerja caves one day, another beach (for a change) another day and Torremolinos to the Aqua Park on another day. (Bus service is good, if you do not have a car). Rest of the time was spent in Torrox Costa - a lovely relaxing family week away in the sun in a safe, comfortable and clean accomodation and surroundings.

The construction work opposite is nearing completion now and will further enhance the area; along with the additional swimming pool in the garden within view of our terrace.
