Our modern 1st and 2nd floor self-catering, luxury apartments are in prime positions at Duquesa Suites which is situated in an elevated position with sea views and surrounded by an 18 hole golf course. Only 1km from the beautiful and secluded Puerto Duquesa halfway between Marbella/Puerto Banus and Gibraltar which are both just 25 minutes away. The apartments are 15 minutes walk to the marina, bars, restaurants, shops and beaches. They have high quality marble floors throughout and are fully air-conditioned (hot and cold) in all rooms. Each has a well equipped kitchen, with cooker, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster and kettle. The utility rooms have washing machines. The lounge/dining rooms are well furnished with dining table for 6, two sofas (one of which converts to a good quality double bed), TV (Satellite for BBC/ITV) together with a DVD/CD Player, with patio doors leading onto an extensive SW facing terrace equipped with table, recliners, chairs and foot stools.

The apartments location was selected very carefully, being in a quiet and elevated position with views of the sea, surrounded by Duquesa Golf Course. There are lively bars and restaurants around the Marina about 15 minutes walk away together with all essential shops including a small supermarket, newsagent, internet cafe bank and gift shops. Puerto de la Duquesa is known as the new Golden Mile on the Costa del Sol. It is ideally located midway along the coast between Gibraltar and Marbella/ Puerto Banus each 25 min drive away. The nearest beach spans both sides of the marina, on one side to the village of Sabinillas (20 minutes walk via the promenade) and on the other to the fishing hamlet of Castillo Duquesa. Sabinillas has a wider variety of shops including 3 larger supermarkets. The resort of Estepona is a 10 minute drive away with many shops and a large hypermarket and a long promenade and sandy beach. Inland you will find Casares and other attractive white towns in the mountains

  • This apartment is suitable for golfing parties or relaxing to escape the UK weather misery. A £100 (150 euros) deposit will be required per week to secure a booking. The full balance becomes payable 6 weeks prior to your arrival date together with a refundable damage/key deposit of £150 (200euros). The prices quoted are for 4 guests sharing the apartment but if an additional 1 or 2 stay, a small surcharge of £25 per week will be charged. to cover extra costs of cleaning linen etc. Further information can be obtained from the owners.
    Please note that prices and dates are not guaranteed until a confirmed reservation has been made..
  • Changeover day flexible. Normal check-in time is 4pm on your day of arrival and check-out is 10am on the morning of your departure. Golf: The area between Gibraltar and Malaga is a paradise for golfers with over forty courses to choose from and indeed the apartment is surrounded by Duquesa Golf Course. This course has all that an expert or amateur player needs. It was designed by the world renowned and prestigious Mr Robert Trent Jones. Located as it is with views of the sea and mountains, this course enjoys a well deserved reputation. there are other superb golf courses within 15 minutes of Duquesa and these include Estepona, San Roque, Sotogrande and the world famous Valderraman. Golf prices and other information about the courses can be obtained in the Port.

Alternative Travel via Seville/Jerez: There are now cheaper flights to Seville (2 and half hours driving time to apartment) and Jerez (1 and half hours driving time to apartment) . Also gives opportunity to explore Seville, Ronda and Andalucian mountains. More advice can be obtained on how to structure such a trip by contacting the owners. Off season take advantage of low cost, Easyjet, Monarch and Flybe flights into Gibraltar and Malaga as well as Rynair flights into Jerez and Seville.

We have spent a number of holidays based in this apartment and the description and photographs certainly do justice to the property. The flat is kept clean and well-maintained and customer service proved excellent. The flat is roomy and well-equipped for 6 people and its' large balcony is a big plus point, with excellent views over the gardens, pool and across to the sea.
Self-catering is easy with such a well-equipped kitchen especially with easy access to three supermarkets and a Friday market in Sabinillas. Its' location is ideal for those wanting a quiet and relaxing base but within easy distance of beaches, a harbour and a good selection of restaurants, cafes and bars.
For those who have a car, access to Gibraltar, Estepona, Marbella and the villages and nearby mountains is very easy.
The white village of Casares is only 20 minutes away and has 2 nice cafes tucked away at the very top of the village on the castle mount. Gaucin is a further 20 minutes from Casares and an extended day trip on to Ronda is also highly recommended. You can also get to Ronda via train from Algeciras which makes a very good day trip.
We have recommended this apartment to a number of friends who have all enjoyed their stay.
The two main swimming pools are a major attraction within the complex and the wide, clean and not very busy beaches near Duquesa Port and Sabinillas are a short distance away. Both places have good mix of restaurants and cafes.
We particularly like the Miel Cafe on the promenade at Sabinillas as its' pastries and crepes are wonderful and you can eat them sitting right by the beachfront. Other recommendations are La Salsa in the square at Sabinillas, which has just changed owners, but the food continues to be very good, freshly cooked and excellent value, also the Asiatico for Chinese/Japanese food in Duquesa Port (Muelle de Levante).
We would highly recommend this apartment and will no doubt stay there again.

We had three gloious weeks in Duquesa while everyone at home was still in the grip of Winter.
The apartment is very well appointed with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. The living area is spacious and has everything you could need......but the star of the show is the balcony! It is beautiful,South facing with a view of the sea and even when the weather was windy we could sit in the sun.
We visited Cadiz,Tarifa,Granada and Gibraltar all worthwhile in very different ways. I would recommend this apatment very warmly. Jenny

We have stayed on this complex on numerous occasions, but this is the 1st time we have rented this apartment.
The apartment was absolutely perfect. Very spacious, very clean, in fact every thing about it was lovely.
This apartment will definately be our 1st choice for rental when we return next year.

We wanted a holiday combining both relaxation and outdoor activities and this apartment provided exactly what we needed. That is why we’ve given it a five-star rating. The stunning view from the terrace bowled us over from the moment we walked in. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable with all mod cons, including a well stocked kitchen, effective air conditioning, extremely comfortable beds, and plenty of recliners and cushions for use on the terrace. As swimming enthusiasts, the large, clean and landscaped swimming pool was a great pleasure to use. The local port area where the restaurants are located is easy to reach on foot and we sampled some excellent restaurants at very reasonable prices. We liked the apartment owners’ attention to detail, eg. a great range of helpful information was provided on local attractions, recommended restaurants, shopping information, large and small scale maps for car touring, cycling or walking in the area. We went on some spectacular and unforgettable walks in the area using the guide books provided. Lastly, the south facing and sea-view terrace was the icing on the cake – we passed many relaxing hours sun-bathing, reading or just taking in the view – bliss!
