Casa Pajaro is situated close to Lake Vinuela. Our townhouse is tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture and it has a private terrace and a communal garden with a shared swimming pool (shared between only 20 properties). We have air conditioning. 15 minutes drive to sea and overlooking the mountains. Sleeps 6 persons. The spacious living room has an open fire place, TV, Satellite, DVD, CD player and radio. The lounge also has a double sofa bed. Dining area with table and 4 chairs. The kitchen is well equipped with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and washing machine. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with 2 single beds. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. We have ceiling fans in all rooms. This is a spacious well equipped house in a popular urbanisation only 40 mins from Malaga airport, close to nice beaches, large lake, mountains and local bars and restaurants.

Notes to the rental rates

• Long Term rentals - minimum of 2 months at a reduced rate of 500 Euros per month plus water & electricity.
  
• 20% deposit is required on booking.
  Refundable deposit of 100 Euros is paid for damages/breakages at key pick-up and is returned at end of rental period after check done.
  
• Out of hours arrivals (after midnight and before 7am) are liable to an additional cost of 50 euros.

Local Places to Visit

Spectacular Mount Maroma at 2,000 meters in height. Nearby 'White Villages' Alcaucin, Periana, Vinuela and Los Romanes which are very Spanish & traditional. 'El Alcazar' National Park, fifteen minutes drive & situated above Alcaucin where there are many open-air bar/restaurants, BBQ areas, camping facilities & hiking/mountain biking activities. The Caves of Nerja are only a 35 minute journey by car. Discovered in 1959. Their size is approx 4,823 metres long and 70 metres high. Services include a restaurant, souvenir shop & cafeteria. Evening music concerts also available. The EEC approved beaches are only a twenty minute drive away. Shopping is easy as there is a large hypermarket with bowling alley, cinema, supermarket & boutique shop nr. Velez Malaga. In the local village of La Vinuela, there is a large supermarket, bank, cashpoint, pharmacy & medical centre. If you do not want to drive there is a bar, 4 star hotel, restaurant and Lake Vinuela all within walking distance.

Slightly further afield

The Alhambra Palace is approx a 1hr drive from Lake Vinuela. Built in the 13th century on a hill overlooking Granada it is a sprawling palace-citadel that comprised royal residential quarters, court complexes flanked by official chambers, a bath, and a mosque. Very Moorish. Entrance fee is only around 20€ per person. We recommend booking well in advance to avoid disappointment. The peak season is June - September. The ski-resorts of the Sierra Nevada have some of the highest peaks in Europe. The journey is approximately a one hour forty-five minute drive. The resort offers quality skiing and snowboarding . Prices vary. Horse racing at Mijas (approx 1 hour) is one of the most popular attractions on the Costa DelSol. Entrance is free and betting is easy. There are many restaurants, bars and sometimes live music. In the summer the sand track is floodlit and racing takes place after 11pm. Nerja (35 mins) has lovely beaches with scuba diving available.

Golf Information:

Baviera Golf Course opened in 2002 & is a 25 mins drive. It is open all year. This 18 hole, par 71, 5066 metres course was designed by European tour professional José Maria Cañizares & has wide fairways & large, fast greens plus some cleverly placed water hazards which put this course in the moderately difficult bracket. Facilities include golf buggies, practice balls, pitch & putt, driving ranges, golf school, caddies, club rental, trolleys, lockers, dressing rooms, showers, club house, restaurants & a pro shop. The course enjoys magnificent views of the sea & mountains, it is 200 metres from the La Caleta yachting club. For further information call Baviera Golf on: 0034 952 555 015. Añoreta Golf Course is a 40 mins drive from the villa, close to Rincón de la Victoria. This 18 hole, par 72, 5673 metre course was opened in 1990 & was also designed by José Mariá Cañizares. Situated between the mountains & the sea, this ‘Parkland styled’ course provides some spectacular scenery. The fairways are wide & the greens are good, plus there are some difficult holes making this a very challenging golf course for all level of golfers. There are eleven holes with water - including the long 528 metres third hole. Facilities include pro shop, restaurant, clubhouse, showers, changing rooms, rental clubs, trolleys, buggies, driving range, putting & chipping greens & lessons.
