Delightful, bright, sunny, family house in Caleta de Velez, a quiet unspoilt fishing village on the Costa de Sol, and only 2 mins stroll to the beach, marina, local shops, bars and restaurants. Baviera Golf Course is a 5 iron away. There are over 40 restaurants mostly on the beach promenade within a 20 minute walk from the house. The nearest large supermarket is a short 5 minute drive. The beach resorts of Torre del Mar and Algarrobo Costa are within easy walking distance and the lively beach resort of Nerja is just a 15 min drive. The house is located close to the beach within a small quiet residential community and the private terrace with its own garden furniture opens directly onto the beautiful shared secure gardens with two large communal pools, infants' pool and sun loungers, making this ideal family accommodation. There is also a tennis court. Car rental is not essential but recommended to get the best from your family holiday with so many interesting places to visit nearby.

Caleta de Velez, a quiet fishing village with a sandy beach on the edge of the family resort of Torre del Mar on the Costa del Sol, has a lovely wide beach promenade that stretches around a 5km bay, lined with bars and restaurants. The beach promenade extends eastward too, towards the coastal villages of Algarrobo Costa and on to Mezquitilla, with their own characters, beaches, bars, cafes/restaurants. A very pleasant 15 minute coast road drive eastwards takes you to the lively beach resort of Nerja (Caves of Nerja in the Guinness Book of Records). A short drive inland will take you to Velez-Malaga, the capital of Axarquia, and any number of 'Andalucian White Villages', such as Frigiliana, Alcacin and Periana, nestling in spectacular scenery. Beautiful Lake Vinuela and 'Parque Naturale' are within a 20 minute drive. The historic cities of Malaga (Picasso Museum), Granada (Alhambra Palace), Sevilla (Cathedral and Palace) and Cordoba (Mezquita) are all within easy day trip distance

Notes: Ceiling fan installed in Living Room. Bed linen and house towels supplied weekly. Beach towels are not provided. The entrance to the house is via a main door at ground level. There is an outside parking space right beside the front door. The house is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac that enjoys breathtaking sea views over the marina, harbour and Torre del Mar Bay. November - March lets: Electric space heating is provided in each room but remember that generally it will be required only in the evenings as daytime temperatures can still be quite warm (15-25C). With more than 330 days of sunshine, the mild winters and longer daylight hours make Caleta de Velez an all-year holiday destination.

Coast/Beach: 5km of sandy beaches and a yachting marina are just 5 minutes walk. A broad sweeping promenade, which is remote from traffic and safe for children, stretches around the bay west to Torre del Mar and east to Algarrobo Costa and Mezquitilla and is ideal for a relaxing stroll to the many bars and restaurants and other entertainment. The sea has a gentle gradient and is safe for children. Caleta de Velez has a marina and fishing port with over 200 craft of varying shapes and sizes.

Golf: In Caleta de Velez, there is an excellent 18-hole golf course, Baviera Golf, just 5 mins drive. The course commands stunning sea and mountain views and was designed by top Spanish pro Jose Maria Canizares, who played in four Ryder Cups. The course can accommodate all levels of players from the novice to scratch. The facilities include a clubhouse, driving range, restaurant, pro shop, changing rooms and showers. Lessons, trolleys, buggies and club hire are available. Many other golf courses are within easy reach (currently 37 in Malaga province).

Skiing: Sierra Nevada at Granada is less than 1.5 hour drive and is Europe's most southerly ski resort, hosting top Alpine ski tournaments. It is open from December to April and has many ski schools, ski hire etc. There are many hotels, bars and restaurants, boutiques and shops to keep you busy off-piste. Even in the summer, it is worth a trip when the spectacular mountain scenery can be viewed from the cable cars, giving a dramatic change from the beaches on the coast.

The Fegths, Bergen, Norway: We had a very, very great time in your house for 14 days. The children almost lived in the pools. We hope to come back. It was a very nice place and we have enjoyed our stay. We walked almost every day as there was so much to see.
The Dodmans, Essex: We have all had a really great holiday here in Caleta. Your house is really lovely and has everything anyone could need. Hope to return.
The Robinsons, Hull: What a fab 7 days! We all really enjoyed staying in your lovely house; there is a relaxing atmosphere around the pools. Our daughter has learned to swim without armbands! We also made good friends with another couple and their kiddies around the pool. Just wish we had another week. We'll be back and with friends as well. Love the place !! Just perfect !!!
