Recent Visit

This was our second time at this most wonderful villa. The facilities are second to none and with the upgrade in air conditioning happening later his year, the villa really will have evrything.
The location is not easy to find first time round as it is located in a secluded mountainous area but I guess thats what makes it special. Alhaurin El Grande and Coin, the local towns, are typical Spanish but between our poor spanish and their attempts at English we were able to communicate comfortably. I would describe the local restaurants as both varied and reasonably priced, certainly much better value than the costal areas.
We recommended the villa to some friends and I was to delighted to hear that they agreed with our appraisal - first class, very clean, well kitted out, I suspect they will make a return visit.
On our most recent visit we managed to clock up 1500 kilometres, although only 15 - 20 miles from the airport we used the villa as our base to visit many great locations.
Gibraltra is about 1 hour from the villa and is a must to visit, the kids particularly enjoyed the monkeys. We learnt from previous experience and left the villa at 6.30am to ensure we missed the long ques to enter the island. Porta Banus and Marbella are also close to the villa, approx 1/2 hour drive along the wonderful new road through the mountains. We often travelled to Pt. Banus for lunch or dinner as they host the most fantastic sea food retaurants (not cheap though).
My family's favourite activity - lazing by the pool and chilling in the sun, hard to beat.
