Photos and Description of this Mijas holiday villa One double & two twins all en-suite, and a studio with bathroom.

Casita Loma is a large villa with many terraces and patios with seating and tables, and four bathrooms – each bedroom and the studio having en-suite facilities. On the upper (driveway) level is the entrance hall, lounge, dining room, kitchen, one double and one twin room, each with luxury bathrooms. The third twin room and the studio are on the lower (pool) level which can be reached by internal spiral stairs or the external steps. The studio has twin-beds, a lounge with settee and double sofa bed, kitchenette, and its own independent entrance. Casita Loma is not overlooked and is situated in about one acre on a private hillside some four miles inland from Fuengirola, within an 8 minute walk (2 mins by car) of the Mijas Golf Courses (2 x 18 holes) and the famous 5* Byblos Hotel. The villa's mulitiple terraces and patios allow one to find unruffled peace - even from each other!

Casita Loma occupies 3000 square meters (about one acre) of a large private hillside a couple of minutes away (and out of sight of) the Mijas Golf complex. The villa is not overlooked, the nearest neighbour being below and well screened with trees. Exploring Andalucia is made easy with access time to the N340 (Costa) freeway about 9 minutes, and to the main E15 motorway (high speed toll road) about 12 minutes.

Notes: Children are welcome, but should really be over eight years as there are spiral stairs and stone steps. There is easy parking and turning for cars in the wide driveway. The pool has steps and slopes from about 1m to 2m depth over about 8m length. There are five isolated patio areas each with table and seating for six. Additionally there is the 'sunken' patio below the pool, the terracotta tiled 'barbeque' north patio, the 'top' patios above the villa, and the 'secret' garden. Nine areas to quitely read a book! For winter guests there is electric heating, and an open gas fire in the lounge. All water heating is by electric immersion heaters. To allow time for cleaning, the villa is to be vacated by 10am on day of departure, and is available from 3pm on day of arrival.

Villa - more detail: The villa is not overlooked, and has a light, relaxed atmosphere with wide-spread bedrooms. The rental includes electricity, gas, pool and garden care, and cleaners. The cleaners are scheduled for one visit per week, but additional visits can be arranged. The kitchen is fully fitted with all usual appliances, whilst the lounge has 32” TV (Sat.), Video, and CD player. The studio has TV/video and Sat. link. Location - touching the surface: The popular coastal towns of FUENGIROLA and BENALMADENA are within a short drive, MARBELLA and PUERTO BANUS are about 20 minutes away, GIBRALTAR 1½ hours and SEVILLE 2½ hours. MIJAS PUEBLO is a 15 minute drive up the mountain, most enchanting with numerous shops, bars and restaurants. There are carriage rides and donkey trips around the narrow streets. A large supermarket is about 5 minutes drive away towards Fuengirola where most requirements are available.

Sport and interests: The Mijas Golf Course is just a few minutes walk from the villa providing excellent facilities and has two superb 18-hole courses. There are very many other Championship Golf Courses along the coast, all within 10 – 45 minutes drive. The Lew Hoad Tennis Club, horse riding, go karting and Mijas Aqua Park are all within 10 minutes drive. For winter visitors the Sierra Nevada ski slopes are a 2-hour drive away.

We have just spent the most amazing 2 weeks at Casta Loma! This was our first trip to Spain with two teenage boys, and it was a fantastic experience.
The villa was very accurately described, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owners provided excellant customer service, both before and during the holiday.
It is a place we would want to revisit!

Very relaxing fortnight at Casita Loma

We enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing two weeks at this stunning villa which is beautifully furnished, very clean and well-equipped and has everything one could wish for. The pool was spotlessly clean during the whole fortnight. The views from the dining room are magnificent, and the gardens gorgeous and very well-maintained. On site manager very helpful. Car necessary.

Only two drawbacks were ants in kitchen and annexe and lack of air-conditioning in downstairs bedroom and annexe, preventing the occupants being able to sleep as it was too hot!

Would definitely recommend this villa!
