'Las Casitas de Hacienda Manila', 2 bungalows by the sea

Two little independent houses in Andalusian style, in a quiet residential area at a coastal village. Malaga city and its International airport are 30 minutes drive away. The beach is a 5 minute walk. The owners, Flor (from Malaga) and Guy (from Quebec), speak Spanish, English and French, and will be pleased to provide you information for excursions, daytrips, local activities, etc. The houses can be rented together or separately.

El Olivillo is a cosy Andalusian style house with 2 bedrooms, one double and one with twin beds. Towels and linen are provided. Each of the houses has its own sunny terrace with dining area, patio, bathroom, washing machine and fully equipped kitchen, as well as a nice fireplace in the living room, which was traditionally decorated with inclined ceilings and wooden beams.

'Las Casitas de Hacienda Manila' are located in a private residential area with gardens all around. There are supermarkets, a pharmacy, small restaurants and all kinds of little shops at walking distance. At La Cala del Moral and Rincon de la Victoria you can find everything you could wish for in a beach holiday. At La Cala, the pretty promenade is backed by fisherman’s cottages at one end, leading to individual villas further on, with palm trees and exotic hibiscus planted along side. There are some terraced restaurants where you can enjoy delicious Andalucian fried fish and other traditional specialities. The popularity of this area with Spanish families means that the standard of food in restaurants and tapas bar is very high and the value for money is very good!

Just a minute drive away is the exclusive Serramar Club where for a small charge non-members can use the very large swimming-pool or play tennis. The club also has a children’s play area in its beautiful gardens and its own restaurant/bar serving tapas and delicious Andalucian meals. A short drive takes you up into the mountains of Axarquia where you can visit some of the whitewashed villages for which Andalucia is famous, and enjoy walks in the dramatic countryside. You can also visit the Cuevas del Tesoro in Cala del Moral, (“the Treasure Caves” –so named because of the legend of hidden arab treasure!). Children will love the Aqua Park at Velez-Malaga.

Only a short drive away is the fascinating city of Malaga. Visit the Moorish fortress (the Alcazaba), the Roman Theatre and the Museo Picasso, among other museums. Sample tapas in the historic centre: Malaga is home to many excellent restaurants! In its famous tropical parks and gardens there are numerous exotic plants. A visit to the Botanical Gardens of “La Concepcion” is a must. The owners, Flor from Malaga and Guy from Canada, will provide all the information you may need to help you enjoy your stay.

Golf Information:

Anoreta Golf Course (18 holes) is at 10 minutes drive from 'Las Casitas de Hacienda Manila'. It is open all year round, and you can enjoy an extra sunny time playing golf, tennis, paddle, or at the swimming pool. Also there is a nice bar and terrace restaurant at the Clubhouse.
