Frigiliana is a small Moorish village east of Malaga set into the foothills of the Sierra Almijarra National Park. Only 3 miles above the popular coastal resort of Nerja with its numerous sandy beaches,restaurants and bars, it has an almost perfect location. With it's narrow pedestrianised cobbled streets, white washed houses, flower laden balconies and patios, Frigiliana still retains all the picturesque charm of it's C16th. Moorish origins.

The surrounding area.

Frigiliana is a rare village dating back some 5000 years from its Moorish origins. Situated on the edge of a large National Park there are many possibilities for walking, hiking and mountain biking. Close by there are other 'white villages' of the Alpujarras, all with their different charm and interests. Slightly further afield (1-2 hr drive) there are the famous cities/towns as Seville, Cordoba, Granada, Ronda and many more. There is good skiing in the resort above Granada (1.5 hr drive).
