The property was not what i was expecting, the house is not really suitable for people with mobilty problems as you need to go down to shops and restuarants via the streets steps then returning the same ways this is very tiring, the welcoming pack was not in the house when we arrived we made numerous telephone calls to the agents and received no reply we then had to visit the agents house to seek answers to our enquiries, they had been on holiday and we were not informed that they were not available on our arrival to the property customer service poor, front bedroom bed had plaster from the ceiling on the pillows on the monday the welcome pack was delivered late,
Owner's Response: I was genuinely suprised to see your negative review as over the past 10yrs. this was the first.I fact many of my clients return year after year.
However,to anwer your issues; Firstly I made every effort to facilitate you.I let you have the house from a Friday with a Monday departure which is outside my usual calendar.I also downloaded the bus timetables from the airport to the village. My caretakers were away and had returned on the Saturday night. However, the person given the job of delivering the Welcome Pack had forgotten for which I am sorry but as I am sure you will realise sometimes things do get overlooked. However it was not a disaster as there is always tea, coffee and biscuits in my house and all the food shops, bars and restaurants were open on your arrival. The welcome pack was delivered midday Sunday after you had called to my caretakers house.I understand that you also complained that you had no hotwater and insufficient towels. In fact when my caretaker called on that Sunday he found there to be plenty of hot water and the normal 2 towels(1big,1 small) per person. We can only assume that you had run all the hot water for a bath?
My caretaker left a note in the house asking that if you had any other problems to please call. When you called to their house you were observed to have NO mobility issues. In fact the web site states that my house is unsuitable for the elderly or infirm. At no time with your enquiry was this raised by yourselves as an issue.
My house is very old and restored with many original features of a Moorish house. One of these is the open wooden beamed bamboo ceiling and as such unplastered so I am at a lost to understand the plaster you found on your pillow.
For the 10 days you were in my house you enjoyed fantastic weather in a wondeful village quite unlike the usual 'Costa del Sol' nightmaresof modern concrete unbanisations. You also had the attention of my caretaker on a Sunday morning with all issues resloved.I think that that was pretty good service.
