Gaucin holiday house

This place is positively perfect!

It's set on the hillside of an old, quaint white washed village with the slow pace of life and friendly locals you need for a relaxing holiday. All three floors look out into a peaceful valley of playful birds and enjoy an incredible, unobstructed view that extends for miles over the rolling hills to Gibraltar in the distance.

Rebecca was incredibly kind and Janys, the property manager, was equally as lovely. Everything was spotless and in top working order. Even the sofa and beds were super comfy. We found everything we needed for cooking and soaked up the charming ambiance of the beams and terra cotta tiles. The place oozes charm and comfort from every corner and I was terribly sad to leave at the end of our week.

It all felt wonderfully authentic; I knew I was in Andalucia while staying there. And it was only a couple of hours to get to the major tourist destinations, so we were able to balance that sort of exploration with blissful time lounging by the pool, photographying the local charm or playing cards under the pergola.

If you are keen on exploring Andalucia and want a home base that offers charm, peace, authenticity and tranquility, then I would highly recommend staying here. I will be recommending it to all of my friends heading to the region. And I hope to some day return.
