A traditional family house set in 7 acres of olive, almond, eucalyptus and fruit trees. Extremely private yet only 2 kms from Gaucin, one of the famous 'white villages' of this mountain region. Magnificent views south towards the Mediterranean and North Africa. Large pool (shallow 1.4 mts, deep 1.8 mts) 1/2 hour from the coast.

The area is ideal for walking, bird watching, riding or generally relaxing. A good base for exploring. Many golf courses are within 40min. Drive including Valderrama. Ronda is approx. 40min drive and windsurfing at Tarifa approx. 1hr. Car hire is essential to reach the house, although there is a sporadic taxi service in the village. The house is 2km from Gaucin where you will find many restaurants and tapas bars. There are 2 supermarkets which stock pretty much all you need. butcher, baler and covered market with local produce. health food shop. 2 banks with ATM machines. The cottage is next to the house and is fully self-contained with TV, Cd radio and private terrace. Double bedroom, shower/ WC. Large open plan kitchen/ dining/ sitting room leading onto terrace and lawn. the cottage can only be rented and used by guests of the main house, otherwise will be closed. Nearest airports are Gibraltar - 1hr and Malaga 1hr 30min.

The most wonderful Spanish hideaway

I can't think of anywhere nicer to stay in Andalucia. This villa is incredibly peaceful, beautifully decorated with the sorts of views you will honestly never forget. The owners have clearly made this somewhere to relax in - it's like a home from home really which is why we've returned many times in the past 15 (!) years.

For me the location is absolutely perfect for a family - it's a 30-minute drive to the beach, just over an hour from the airport, you're completely away from mass tourism and it's a short drive up to one of the finest pueblo blancos in this entire area.

The owners have also always been helpful - if something doesn't work or there's something extra you need, they're friendly and efficient. Every time we've been back they've made slight improvements and the beautifully-kept gardens seem to get more colourful each visit.

If you're looking for a holiday away from it all, to recharge your batteries, slow down the pace of life and experience the sort of secluded Spain you've read about in guide books, this villa really is a fantastic place to come. Highly recommended.

Wonderful house

This was our second visit to Casa Mimosa and it was just as magical as the first. The house is beautifully furnished and the views are truly amazing. Gaucin is a lovely small village and the locals extremely friendly and helpful. We shall certainly be back.

Stunning setting, large, clean, well maintained house, great service, amazing views and scenery and village is very close and fantastic to spend time in. Will be back.

Wonderful, authentic Spanish Villa

This is a truely wonderful place to stay. The house has everything in it you could wish for and has the local village of Gaucin within easy access which has some excellent restaurants, bars and plenty of shops. Having said that, when you get here, why would you want to leave the house?! The views and pool are just perfect and very private. The owners have clearly thought of every little detail which certainly helped make this a real holiday for all the family.
We will certainly be back - thank you very much!
