La Tinaja is a stylish town house in the beautiful village Gaucin, one of the prettiest villages in the South of Spain. The spacious house, situated in a traffic free street on the edge of the village, was converted from a 17th century olive mill. It is carefully and traditionally restored and has lots of character, with beamed ceilings, terracotta tiled floors and hand glazed local tiles. From the bedroom terrace and the roof terrace you have lovely views of Gaucin, the ruins of a 10th century Moorish castle, the valley of the river Genal and beyond, the rock of Gibraltar, the Mediterranean and Morocco. Ground floor: sitting room with wood burning stove, dining area and kitchen, leading to a patio with a small plunge pool. First floor: 2 bedrooms, one double with balcony, one twin, with en-suite bathrooms. Roof terrace with lovely views. More photos available, can be send out by email.

Area: Gaucin is a beautiful, white-washed mountain village, part of the Serrania de Ronda. It is spectacularly situated on a ridge, 629 meters above sea level and has breath-taking views over the Genal valley to Gibraltar, the Mediterranean and Morocco. Gaucin is not only beautiful, but also very centrally situated. Nature lovers will find themselves surrounded by nature reserves like the Sierra de Grazalema, Los Alconorcales and the Sierra de las Nieves, wonderful walking area with a lot of wildlife. Are you interested in history and culture? The ancient monuments of Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba, Cadiz and Ronda can be visited in a day trip. And last but not least the Mediterranean, with its lively yachting marinas and its golf courses. Or the beautiful, unspoilt beaches of the Atlantic Costa de la Luz. You will find airports in Gibraltar (1 hour), Malaga (1 1/2), Jerez de la Frontera (2) and Sevilla (2 1/2).
