Set in a small community of villas & town houses right on the beach, No 23 is a perfect holiday home for couples or a family. Consisting of a lounge fitted with satellite TV/DVD, dining area with breakfast bar onto a new fully fitted kitchen equipped with all mod cons. There is also a NEW small cloakroom with toilet & wash basin. There are sliding doors from both dining & lounge onto a large sun terrace complete with built-in Bar-B-Q, table, chairs & sunloungers. Follow the curved staircase up to a large bathroom, newly tiled & complete with full width walk-in shower, toilet, vanity unit & heated towel rails. The double bedroom has a full range of fitted wardrobes along one wall, fantastic double bed & matching furniture. The other bedroom is fitted with twin single beds, fitted wardrobes & matching furniture. Each bedroom has sliding doors onto a curved balcony with lovely sea views. The communal gardens include 3 pools, a tennis court & a bar/restaurant that is 10 m from the beach

Rocas del Mar is ideally situated, just off the coast road 8km west of Fuengirola & 17km east of Marbella. The village of La Cala is 2 km to the east & Puerto Cabopino only 3km to the west. There are numerous quality golf courses within a few minutes driving distance, the famous Tivoli World entertainment complex and fantastic cable car are only 19km east of Rocas, as is the beautiful marina of Benalmadena-voted best marina in the world- twice in the past 13 years! Apart from the recently refurbished Zoo in Fuengirola we also have our own Selwo Park to see the animals in their natural environment. Fuengirola has over 6km of continuous wide sandy beach & a lovely yacht marina where there are restaurants & bars of all nationalities, along with play areas for the children and a famous 19th century carousel at the port entrance. Also in the town, is a huge Aqua Park with slides & rides for all ages and on Tues & Sats there are great open markets on the huge Feria/fair grounds.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The weekly rate includes the use of bed linen & some towels. Please bring your own beach towels.
    A security deposit of 150 euros is required for each rental, this will be refunded after inspection on departure.
    If during the cheap winter period, 4 Nov to 8 March, the rental period is 3 weeks or less, a service charge of 34 euros per week will apply. Over 3 wks the weekly rental rate is negotiable.
  • We can arrange for you to be collected at Malaga airport & taken straight to the house in an estate
    or MPV, both with air conditioning, at a cost of 50 Euros. A short stop for food essentials at the discretion of the driver. If a hire car is required, we can arrange for delivery of vehicle directly to Rocas to suit you.
  • A very good friend of mine has an almost identical house 20 meters away which he will let me use for my clients if we find that we are over-booked. If this is necessary, details can be had on request.

  • The bathroom has just been refurbished. New wall and floor tiles, sunken lights in the new hanging ceiling, wash hand basin and wood vanity unit plus chrome fittings. The new walk-in full width shower has a 2.2meter high opaque shower screen that is permanently secured with chrome fastenings. The shower ensemble is wall mounted with power nozzles and a detachable hand set with a flexi hose. There is a sliding window facing west. The ground floor cloakroom has also been re-tiled, has a new cistern & pan plus wash hand basin and mirror/lights.

  • Double bedroom has a range of fitted wardrobes completely covering one wall. Matching bedroom furniture and central ceiling lights/fan are controlled from bedside switches. There is a 14' television mounted on the wall opposite the bed. Sliding glass doors with Persiana (white pvc vertical blind) lead out to a curved balcony which also has a sun awning. Lovely sea views. The single bedroom has twin beds, fitted wardrobes, matching furniture, central ceiling fan and sliding doors onto the balcony that is shared with other bedroom. There is also a fold-up single bed in the wardrobe. Both bedrooms are tastefully decorated & very quiet.

Notes: In March 2008 the exterior of the houses were painted by the regular community painters. The gardens are beautifully kept by resident staff and there are sensor lights placed at strategic points around the properties. Access to the community is via security coded gates and there are plenty of car parking spaces. To be almost on the beach will be a great source of comfort for parents of young children, knowing there is no need to cross roads to get to the sea. Also, the lovely circular garden bar/restaurant, which is open 7 days a week in the summer season, has a fantastic open-air Bar-B-Q with great live music at least once a week. The bar opens early for breakfast and stays available throughout the day until misnight or more. There are fewer more romantic spots on the coast than sitting at the open tables in the evening having dinner or drinks under the thatched umbrellas and looking out over the Mediterranean towards N Africa - barely 15 meters from the beach!
