Casa Olivia is our privately owned villa situated in a residential area of Puente Don Manuel surrounded by olive groves and mountains. There are three bedrooms(one at pool level) two with en-suite bathrooms, & one shower room. The spacious luxury kitchen is fully quipped with among other things washing machine, large fridge/freezer, full size hob, eye level oven, and marble worktops. The large and well furnished lounge/dining room has digital television, DVD/CD player, a well stocked bookcase, games and maps of the local area showing many interesting excursions and walks in the local area. The patio doors open on to the covered terrace which is south facing and looks out over the olive groves. There is a built in BBQ and a dining table and six chairs. From the terrace the steps lead up to the solarium and down to the garden and private pool, where sun lounger’s, another BBQ, and table and chairs are provided. Puente Don Manuel is a small village in the Axarquia region of Andalucia, it nestles in the foothills of the Sierras de Tejeda National Park which rise to over 2000m. Just 45 minutes from Malaga Airport, it is an area of outstanding natural beauty with the azure waters of Lake Vinuela only 5 minutes drive away. There are basic shopping facilities in the village including the bakery, small supermarkets, and an excellent butchers shop plus several good restaurants and bars al within walking distance of the villa. A few minutes drive away is the village La Vinuela with even more facilities including, a chemist, health centre, large supermarket, ATM machine, local bank and Post Office. Nearby are the white villages of Alcaucin & Periana both with superb views the valley, lake and mountains. Approx 15 minutes away is the very Spanish resort of Torre del Mar with lovely beaches, fine seafood restaurants, beach bars and excellent shops. The well known resort of Nerja is close by.

A Place in the sun - Casa-Olivia

Situated on a quiet hillside Casa Olivia is ideal for countryside lovers and beach lovers alike being a mere 20 minutes from the coast. A car is essential to enjoy touring around the lovely white villages and the beautiful mountain scenery.
The views from the rooftop of the villa are amazing with spectacular sunsets in the evening. The well maintained villa is looked after by an English couple who are at the end of the telephone if assistance is needed. The villa is quite spacious and plenty of bedding and bathroom towels provided. We requested a cot which came with ample bedding etc at a small extra charge.
The pool and garden area is quite private and relaxing with ample chairs and loungers and the gate across the steps leading down to the pool was a God send for our 2 year old Grandson ensuring his safety.
Although there is a small store in the village there is an incredible shop in the village of Vinuela which is worth visiting. The hypermarket is only a few minutes drive away if needed at the junction of the Motorway. The (English) Bar Atila down in the village is very friendly and serve meals most evenings but the climb back up the steep hill to the villa is quite a challenge!
We have recently returned from our third stay in Olivia and have another two weeks later in the summer! That says it all really ! Highly recommended !

Another lovely holiday at Casa Olivia!

Our third holiday in a row, and still as enjoyable as the first. The villa is well kept, clean and homely and has everything needed. The terraces provide beautiful views during the day and the living room at night. The villa location is away from the hustle and bustle but well served by lovely villages that have shops (Puente has a good butcher) and resturants (our favourite La Venta in Vinuela) but the coast is 20 mins away by car if you want to taste it, a car is needed. An english couple look after the villa and couldn't be more helpful.
We are already booking for next year.
