Access / Location:
Situated just inland from Malaga Airport, the Villa is easily reached within 20-25 minutes, transportation to and from the airport is available upon request at just 70€ return, seats 6, more / extra vehicles available upon request.
Local area maps are available in the villa and locations of local shops etc are supplied to enable you to make the most of your holiday without searching for that all important ingredient or heaven forbid, favourite beverage!
In addition to the local map, we have included a listing detailing various local establishments which we have either tried ourselves or had comments passed on to us by previous guests. This is useful but of course subjective, individual likes and dislikes being different from one person to another. One must also factor into the equation the restaurants / bars' may have an off night, like I said earlier, it's intended to act as a guide not a bible or Egon Ronay's in depth review!
Flights / Cheapest options...:
This is always a problem, especially high season when bookings require Saturday changeovers.
Not wishing to add to the coffers of Stelios or the like, I can suggest that if you really must take your holiday in the July-August high season,.you must normally book very early to obtain the best prices but another consideration is to return maybe a day or two earlier than the Saturday? You will not save on the Villa price as this will need to paid up for the duration however, some guest have saved as much as £50 per head by shaving a day or two off their break, which when multiplied by 10 is a whopping £500... worth considering?
We can recommend useful sight to check out which provides a free service comparing flights to most destinations and the price shown INCLUDES taxes so you know where you stand immediately, please ask for details! A good way to use this service is to click on monthly view, this then gives the 2 cheapest flights per day throughout the month in a graph format.
Places to visit / Things to do? Ski?:
This is the Costa Del Sol, or Costa Del Golf... need I say more? Sun, Sea, Championship Golf Courses, Magnificent countryside, Designer Shopping, Nature Parks, Safari Adventures, Water Parks, Caves, Animal Sancturies, Horse Riding, Helicopter Trips, Country Walking even Ski-Ing at the famnous Sol y Nieve (sun and Snow) near to Granada (75min away).
Sol y Nieve - Pradollano is the most southern ski resort of Europe and at the the same time no ski area in Europe has more hours of sunshine. Amazing! Plus in the summer months, it is possible to access the mountains and take in the magnificent landscape, utilising the ski-lifts and enjoying the incredible views. The most worth seeing in the Sierra Neveada are without any doubt the mountains. More then 10 of the summits of the Sierra Nevada have more the 3000 meters high. Often the tops are covered all year long with snow.
The King of the mountains is the Mulhacén (3482 m) - the highest mountain of the Iberian Peninsula.
Golf:
Golfers are well catered for with easy and quick access to the excellent Lauro Golf and Dramatic Alhaurin Golf complex both within 10 min. Malaga, Torrequebrada and Mijas' courses within 20 min! Two new courses are being built in the Coin area (4 miles) and both promise to be exciting new additions to the Costa del Golf! Ideal for some serious R&R whilst enjoying the views, this really is a 19th Hole to savour! Alhaurin village itself is less than a couple of minutes down the road and offers everything from Classy eating establishments to trendy bar's and internet cafes! Plus more than enough shops, pharmacies and supermarkets to cater for your every need!
