Antequera holiday villa

Vista Montana is the perfect place for a totally relaxing and restoring holiday. It is high up in the mountains (though easily accessible) and you can lie by the pool listening only to the sounds of bees buzzing and the bells of passing herds of goats, watching condors wheeling around on the thermals around the mountains. Very few cars pass on the little mountain road, which is at some distance from the house anyway. The views are spectacular - particularly of the majestic El Torcal mountain and over stunning agricultural land and olive groves to the Malaga Coast in the distance. The villa is scrupulously clean, beautifully furnished and cared for. There are lovely touches - books, magazines, games, dvds, information and toiletries, not to mention the welcome food in the fridge. Although the owners, John and Hazel, live adjacent to the property, they take the greatest care never to be heard or seen (unless needed) and you really do feel quite alone here. There are restaurants, a bakery and little shops in local villages and excellent supermarkets in Antequera which is 25 minutes away. Although there is lots to explore in the area (El Torcal National Park, Granada, Cordoba, etc), we found that many days, although we had older teenage kids with us, we were so happy we didn't even leave the villa! The pool is lovely and the pool terrace and barbecue area really imaginatively designed. If you want an 'Away from it all' break, this is the perfect place. We thoroughly recommend it.
