Photos and Description of this Canillas de Aceituno holiday villa Beautiful 3 bed 3 bath villa with panoramic views of sea, lake and mountains

Casa Beni perches on its own 'infinity' platform on the very edge of the lovely white-washed village of Canillas de Aceituno. The villa has three bedrooms en-suite and is beautifully decorated throughout having spacious accommodation for 6 to 8 people. The main open-plan living space includes a fully equipped modern kitchen, large dining table, big sofas and a wood-burning fire. There is a large covered terrace just outside the living room with a mosaic table for 10. There are also various other seating areas around the property and a large gas BBQ. The 8m x 4m swimming pool is set on its own gated terrace below the villa. There are 8 sun-loungers which are light enough to be moved around to the different terraces and large parasols to block out the mid-day sun. The wonderful thing about Casa Beni is that you can walk to the centre of the village in 5 minutes and yet sitting on the terrace in the evening, listening to the crikcets, one feels as if one is in the deep countryside.

Casa Beni is set between the Sierra Tejeda National Park and the famous white-washed village of Canillas de Aceituno, just 40 minutes north east of Malaga. The villa looks out over Lake Vinuela and down to the sea beyond - the Costa del Sol being a beautiful 20 minute drive away. Torre del Mar is the nearest seaside resort and here one can find some fine beach bars. A bit further along the coast are more intimate and private beaches and just outside Nerja, the famous Burriana beach. There are two golf courses within 25 minutes drive and an aquapark. This is the perfect location to explore the rest of the Axarquia country side and the real Spain or nip down to the coast where the pace is a little faster. Marbella and Puerto Banus are within 1.5 hours and Malaga, which is full of culture and wonderful shops, a mere 40 minutes away. Nerja and its famous caves are definitely worth a visit - 25 minutes. The beautiful Alhambra Palace in Granada takes 1.5 hours and Sevilla a couple of hours.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Easter (27th March until 9th April) is £725 per week.A 25% non-refundable deposit is payable on booking with the final balance due 6 weeks before arrival. A £300 deposit for major damage or breakages is required, which will be returned in full, or part, once the property has been inspected.
  • A weekly change of linen, towels and beach towels.
    Water and wine will be left for your arrival but if you would like a wlecome packet of food and drink please could you let me know as that can be arranged. Also if you would like a light meal made and left for you.

Notes: Casa Beni also has underfloor heating for the colder months of the year making it a very good choice for the winter. All the rooms have air-conditioning. There is a full size ping pong table on one of the terraces. Also a basketball net. Bring along your lap top and you can plug it into the free internet.

Round and About: Canillas is a wonderfully friendly hospitable village with about 3 restaurants and lots of bars. You can do all your shopping up here as there are several greengrocers, a couple of butchers, a chemist and 3 banks. One can buy fish from the van that visits almost every day. A 20 minute drive takes you down to an enormous supermarket, Eroski, and an outlet centre which has all the best shops in it and also a cinema. There is also an Aqua Park. There is a tennis court in the village but not Wimbledon standard! Also a large public pool and restaurant which is quite a good meeting place. Riding and hiking all over the country side and up into the Sierra Tejada National Park which borders Casa Beni. Mountain biking is also fantastic from here but one needs to be fit! Malaga provides so many things to see and do - remember that this was Picasso's birth place so there are lots of art galleries and museums.

My family and I spent two wonderful weeks at Casa Beni which if I may use a phrase from a well known advert,"It does everything it says on the tin". The decor and attention to detail of the furnishings are a credit to the owner . Outside the views from the terrace are a delight, with the added bonus of the pool. The villagers are very warming to visitors and the food in the local restaurants especially the local dishes must be tried, none of your costal tourist food but meaty stews, roasted goat, rabbit, are all worth the short walk into the village. The Sociadad and the Bodega stand out.
The house keeper Sonia is a lovely woman and was at hand if we needed anything and, knows anything there is to know about the area around the village, a real gem. The only down point was leaving this wonderful place.
I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending Casa Beni, I can assure you, you won't be disappointed

We've stayed in many villas throughout Europe and Casa Beni was, by far, the best equipped one. It really made us feel at home, we loved it and really hope to come again sometime soon.

Relaxed, beautiful & very comfortable

My family and I stayed in this beautiful villa and were very happy in every way! Having never been to Spain before we were completely overcome by this villa, with its position in the village, its panoramic views and wonderful comfort in every room. The owner has paid attention to every detail making the kitchen a joyous place to be, all the bedrooms a delight to be in, and the patio a glorious sunbathing heaven. There are faboulous real Spanish places to eat and gorgeous walks straight from the house but if one can drag oneself away there are expeditions by car that could keep everyone occupied for months.

Our idea of paradise!

What can I tell you that is not shown in the photos or written in the description of Casi Beni, without using all the superlatives in the dictionary ! It is a beautiful villa, in a wonderful position, with upbelievable views.
Then you enter the villa and you find that inside nothing has been forgotten and so much thought has been put into providing everything that one might need, and of the highest quality. The kitchen made cooking a delight, and it was almost difficult to drag ourselves into the village to eat, but we did, and the restaurants were excellent.
The beds were comfy and so were the pillows ( so many rental properties stick any old pillow on the bed without a thought as to whether it is comfortable or not) not at Casi Beni - Angie has only provided the 'best' !
We loved the village and took a few walks around and about when we weren't lazing in and around the lovely swimming pool. Who would want to leave this paradise when you have all that you could desire at your finger tips?
I conclude by saying that a week is definitely not long enough at Casi Beni !!

Spectacular views, white houses on dark hillsides, Mediterranean sunshine, street markets, chiringuito lunches and rioja dinners. It is more that 15 years since I was last in Malaga..... My God what a change. To my eyes you can keep the coast.... but, Ah! the mountains are pristine and begging to be explored, picnic-ed, climbed and trekked. I would love to explore the wilderness that begins a few hundred metres above your house, just the little taste we got has given me an appetite for more.
Canillas de Aceituno is a haven of peace far from the madness of mass tourism and Casa Beni is an eagle's perch apart. Thank you for introducing us to a world I only knew from a map.
