Casa Beni perches on its own 'infinity' platform on the very edge of the lovely white-washed village of Canillas de Aceituno. The villa has three bedrooms en-suite and is beautifully decorated throughout having spacious accommodation for 6 to 8 people. The main open-plan living space includes a fully equipped modern kitchen, large dining table, big sofas and a wood-burning fire. There is a large covered terrace just outside the living room with a mosaic table for 10. There are also various other seating areas around the property and a large gas BBQ. The 8m x 4m swimming pool is set on its own gated terrace below the villa. There are 8 sun-loungers which are light enough to be moved around to the different terraces and large parasols to block out the mid-day sun.

The wonderful thing about Casa Beni is that you can walk to the centre of the village in 5 minutes and yet sitting on the terrace in the evening, listening to the crickets, one feels as if one is in the deep countryside.

Casa Beni is set between the Sierra Tejeda National Park and the famous white-washed village of Canillas de Aceituno, just 40 minutes north east of Malaga. The villa looks out over Lake Vinuela and down to the sea beyond - the Costa del Sol being a beautiful 20 minute drive away. Torre del Mar is the nearest seaside resort and here one can find some fine beach bars. A bit further along the coast are more intimate and private beaches and just outside Nerja, the famous Burriana beach. There are two golf courses within 25 minutes drive and an aquapark.

This is the perfect location to explore the rest of the Axarquia country side and the real Spain or nip down to the coast where the pace is a little faster. Marbella and Puerto Banus are within 1.5 hours and Malaga, which is full of culture and wonderful shops, a mere 40 minutes away. Nerja and its famous caves are definitely worth a visit - 25 minutes. The beautiful Alhambra Palace in Granada takes 1.5 hours and Sevilla a couple of hours.

    Water and wine will be left for your arrival but if you would like a welcome packet of food and drink please could you let me know as that can be arranged. Also if you would like a light meal made and left for you.

Round and About: Canillas is a wonderfully friendly hospitable village with about 3 restaurants and lots of bars. You can do all your shopping up here as there are several greengrocers, a couple of butchers, a chemist and 3 banks. One can buy fish from the van that visits almost every day.

A 20 minute drive takes you down to an enormous supermarket, Eroski, and an outlet centre which has all the best shops in it and also a cinema. There is also an Aqua Park. There is a tennis court in the village but not Wimbledon standard! Also a large public pool and restaurant which is quite a good meeting place. Riding and hiking all over the country side and up into the Sierra Tejada National Park which borders Casa Beni. Mountain biking is also fantastic from here but one needs to be fit!

Malaga provides so many things to see and do - remember that this was Picasso's birth place so there are lots of art galleries and museums.

Better than advertised

Our stay at Casa Beni was the most wonderful two week vacation we've had in 27 years of marriage - beautiful, beautiful villa - just perfect. It was all that was advertised, even more. We so enjoyed exploring the village a short walk away. In addition to letter perfect directions on finding the villa, the owner also sent us helpful information on restaurants and beaches. The local contacts provided, Sonia and Ian, were great! So helpful in suggesting adventures! Bahia de Tanit beach was fantastic. Went on the ferry to Tangiers - incredible. We'll never forget our time here.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Stayed at Casi Beni from 18th June - 2nd July with my husband, son and mum. My son and mum were there for one week - this was to celebrate my 50th Birthday

Where to start, the villa is just fabulous obviously put together with a lot of love and style, with comfort as a top priority. Loads of space and absolutely every thing you need is there.

The villa was perfect for relaxing and having a lazy time to recharge your batteries. However if you did want to do more then there is plenty to see.The pool was excellent, a good size and so clean and wonderful for cooling off in. Could not of wished for a better villa or location . The village and the restaurants were a delight and local people along with Sonia and Ian were extremely helpful

Thank you Angie for all your help in making the holiday just right for us.

I would recommend a holiday at Casa Beni to anyone.

Great week at Casa Beni

We spent a week at Casa Beni in October 2010. The weather was glorious and the views are outstanding from the terrace- all the way to the Mediteranean. We especially enjoyed the white pueblos in the distance, their lights at night and the wonderful sunsets. Angie was great to work with and helped make our stay memorable. She has a book loaded with information about the surrounding areas. The house is well equipped and perfect for 6 people, with private bath for each couple. I hiked far up the mountain, and we also walked to the village several times. We were in Europe for 5 weeks and this was the first time we were able to catch up on the news on English TV. Every night driving home, we watched for the goats on the road- a real treat. Be prepared for a steep climb by car!

Casi Beni is faultless.

Having been lucky enough to visit Casa Beni three times, I can only say it is a well equipped haven. Sitting on its terrace looking out towards the Med makes the worries of the world dissapate. Cleverly it has several areas where one can escape with a book when the house is full. In the rain one can settle into a vast choice of movies or watch the T.V.. As the sun sets , one can wonder into the village to a bar or restaurant. The village is very unspoilt and all the locals are helpful and friendly.
It is a house that ensures every age and taste will have a lovely time.

A beautiful, relaxing week.

Casa Beni is a really lovely house. It is spacious, comfortable, clean and decorated with attractive ethnic touches. The view is tremendous and we never tired of it. The pool is fabulous - a good size and very clean and well looked after. We are a family with teenagers and a seven-year old and the children all loved the pool and the table-tennis table was a great bonus. There are lots of DVD's to watch when the sun gets too hot. We really enjoyed the village - we were not expecting to find somewhere so unspoiled by tourism. It sits on the mountain-side up a long winding road. The villagers were really friendly and the restaurants were absolutely superb. There are lots of narrow streets, freshly painted white houses and flowers. If someone had difficulty walking it would be quite hard though because there are lots of ups and downs.
Angie is incredibly helpful and has thought of everything, and the couple who look after the villa do a great job and spent a long time answering our questions and giving us helpful information about the area.
We would thoroughly recommend the villa to anyone who wants to see the real Spain in very comfortable and beautiful surroundings.
