Wonderful Family and Friends Holiday

This holiday was perfect for us. We were friends yet 2 separate families each with 2 kids (ours 3 & 4 theirs 3 & 16). The villas themselves were excellent, full of character and interest as well as clean and very well equipped. We drew straws prior to departure to allocate villas, with one being smaller than the other, we were in the smaller one which was still great for our needs.
We spent days relaxing around the pool (kids required permanent supervision as the water gets deep quickly), eating far too much at the wonderful shaded dining table, books, siestas, followed by some highly competitive boules with sundowners whilst bbq'ing fresh fish prior to a night cap or 2. Occasionally we strolled up to the local town of Comares which is full of charm with great little tapas bars and restaurants.
To break up the holiday we visited the Aqua Vellis water park, located at the base of the mountains (approx 35 min drive) entry was a little pricey, 51 Euros for the four us, however we had a great day and the kids loved it and thus we returned.
The drive from the coast to the villa was an experience in itself as it is up winding mountain roads culminating in a small track to the villas themselves. This could be a little intimidating if arriving for the first time at night but after the initial trip this was not a concern.
The villa owners, who were in the UK were very helpful throughout and we had no trouble with regard to information, paperwork, arrival preparedness and deposits etc.
Overall - wonderful accommodation and location, full of character and ideal for a memorable holiday with friends and families.
