Casa Guisante de Olor is a new two bedroom villa overlooking citrus and avocado groves, offering breathtaking views from its elevated position on the edge of the Sierra de Tejeda national park. It has been beautifully furnished and has a private pool. Situated below one of Andalucia's most picturesque and unspoilt white hill top villages Comares, which is a fascinating and interesting place to explore. Your spacious accommodation is set on two levels. On the upper level there are two beautiful bedrooms both with en-suite Bathrooms, fitted wardrobes ceiling fans and french windows leading on to an impressive terrace with amazing views across to the see and mountains. Downstairs there is a lounge/diner with air conditioning, which is very well furnished, including a leather sofa bed, and there is a very well equipped kitchen and shower room. Leading from downstairs onto a covered porch are two set of french doors, this overlooks the swimming pool and also has the same fantastic views.

Comares only 5 minutes away, is one of Andalucia's most picturesque and un spoilt white hill top villages, it is perched on one of the highest peaks in the Sierra de Tejeda national park and is known as the 'Balcon de Axarquia'. The village was of strategic importance during Moorish times and was one of the bases of Omar ben Hafsun. At the highest point of the village there are ruins of a Moorish castle. The village remains unspoilt and is a fascinating place to explore, with its spectacular views, and is ideal to pop to for an excellent lazy lunch. Velez Malaga a 20 minute drive, is a typical Spanish Town with an old quarter dating back to Moorish occupation. It has an old castle La Fortaleza, of which a restored tower remains, set in pretty gardens. There are also two interesting old churches. The town has an excellent municipal market every day except Sunday, selling local produce, fish meat, vegetables and fruit. There is also a wide range of modern shops and supermarkets.

  • SPECIAL WINTER MONTHLY RATES OF 650GBP FROM NOVEMBER TO MARCH
    A supplement of 75GBP per week will be charged for use of the sofa bed.
    100GBP security deposit against damages and breakages is required, which will be refundable.
    Any damage to linens will be taken from security deposit.
    In the peak months of July August and September rentals will be charged at whole week periods.
    In July, August and September no mid-week arrivals accepted.
    25% deposit on booking is required with balance 6 weeks prior to arrival.
    Cancellations: Deposit is non refundable. Any cancellation within 6 weeks of arrival will be charged at full rate ia refund will only be given if property can be relet.

This is the place to come for a wonderful relaxing holiday, offering peace and tranquility, yet the nearest beach is at Torre del Mar which is only 25mins drive away, the shops and markets of Velez Malaga, the nearest town are only 20mins away. In Comares which is just 5 mins away you will find plenty of bars and restaurants, but if you prefer to relax at the villa one evening, and do not want the hassle of cooking, the owner has a well deserved reputation for her excellent cuisine and will cater for you, with prior arrangement.

We have just arrived back from this property-Last night in fact!
We had the most fabulous time. The villa was immaculate. Very well presented, and very well equipped. The views from the top balcony were just wonderful-With mountains, rolling countryside and sea- all encompassed in a sweep of the eye.
Sally and Paul were very nice people,friendly and helpful,but not too obtrusive.
I would definitely reccomend this property to friends and family.
We will definitely be returning!

Beautiful villa, honestly the best house we've stayed in ever: clean, big and it has everything one could possibly need. The swimming pool is superb and floating around it while enjoying the breath taking views of the mountains and the sea can difficulty be beaten.
If you are looking for peace, nature, beautiful villages and the beach at 30 minutes, then this is the place for you.
The owners have lots of information regarding the area and restaurants you could visit.
I would certainly recommand it to everyone!

Lovely villa in a stunning location. This really is the best equipped holiday accomodatin we have ever stayed in...everything you could possibly need, and all beautifully and tastefully presented. We made good use of the pool on the long, hot, sunny days, and spent many evenings on the terrace with a glass of wine just gazing over the mountains,the sea and the ever changing light.Just beautiful..If you're lucky you might catch sight of an eagle overhead as we did on a couple of occasions.
If you can drag yourself away from the villa..there are many beautiful drives along winding roads, pretty hilltop villages, good restaurants and the coast all within 20 to 30 minutes,Granada is only about an hour and a half away.Sally and Paul..lovely people, with lots of advice and suggestions for trips,routes,restaurants,places to shop etc .A wonderful place to relax or a good base for day trips,touring, walking, photography.

Highly recommended - we spent a week at this lovely villa in 2008 and have booked two weeks in 2009! The villa and surroundings have been finished to a high standard & are very well equipped.

Sally & Paul are a lovely couple, helpful, friendly & a mine of useful information on the area, places to visit, restaurants etc, etc.

We always try to do our upmost to help guests when they come to stay and hopefully tell them about all the hidden gems of this area that are wonderful to visit.

The villa is redecorated every year and anyt hing that is not up to scratch is replaced, we like to make sure the high standards that we have set are kept up

What Can I Say Totally Impressed!!!!!!!

The Photo's don't lie - in fact when you get to the villa it's a taste of luxury - It really is like going from home to home - not just because of the standard of the deco - Sally and Paul really do make you feel welcome.

You do need a car, but if you want to be far enough away from the crowds and have your piece and quiet then this is the place to go. It's proberly not more than a 20 - 30 min drive down to Torrox and Nerja and there's plenty of things to do there - Lovely resturants and beaches - sorry can't comment on the Night Life as Clubbing's not our thing these days but there appears to be music going on down at the beach in the evenings which we have heard whilst taking a stoll along the sea front after a lovely meal.

We have been back to Sally and Pauls Villa - (must be three times now), and even took the Mother In Law with us on one occasion.

There are lovely drives and views to be seen, can't remember the names of the places we have visited but have been to a few white villages that really are untouched and the locals still live there.

Sally and Paul really do make you welcome and don't intrude on your privacy, but will be at the end of the phone should you need any help of advice on where to go and what to see. There're plenty of guide books left at the villa showing you what's in the local, and not so local area of this part of Spain.

What more can I say, it must be good as I wouldn't have gone back there three times if it wasn't. And I do have high standards when it comes to cleaniness, and I certainly don't like to rough it - this really did tick all the right boxes for us.

Cooking facilites are excellent at the Villa should you wish to cook, there's even a dishwasher and washing machine - but who really wants to go on holiday and not taste the local food - A great excuse for not using the cooker and going out to eat is that the food out there is Great - I would recomend this property to anybody who likes nice things - taking things easy some days and just rexaling by the pool. Although you must visit some of the places nearby as it would be a crying shame not to take in all the beauty of the wonderful views and places to visit whilst you are out there.
