We offer a self contained spacious villa, adjoining our house built in the traditional Andalucian style, in a perfect location for the sun seeker and nature lover alike, offering year round appeal. From the terrace and pool area there are magnificent views across the valley to the white village of Sayalonga and down to the Mediterranean sea.

Finca Almendra is in the eastern costa del sol near to Competa, between Sayalonga and Corumbela reached via a partly concreted track from either village and is less than 30 minutes from the coast and approximately one hour from Malaga airport. Sayalonga has all basic amenities and smaller Corumbela a supermarket, bakery and bars.

Inland is the true rural Spain of the Axarquia with its charming Moorish white villages, spectacular National Parks of the Sierras - a perfect location for going to the beach, walking, bird watching, mountain biking, horse riding or just lazing by the pool.

Notes: The private terrace has 4 chairs and table for al fresco eating, large sun umbrella and BBQ. Poolside facilities include sunbeds and umbrellas. Please note that only house towels are provided and not pool/beach towels. As there are steep drops around the property it may not be suitable for very young children. The TV has recently been upgraded to a digital flat screen with satellite freeview, DVD and HDMi connectivity. Use of washing machine is by arrangement with the owners who live on site.

Local Amenities: Sayalonga, the nearest village, has a tourist information office, local bus services to the coast, Malaga and surrounding areas, shops, doctor's surgery, chemist, bank, post office, restaurants, bars and public swimming pool. The typical Andalucian main square is surrounded by beautiful flowering Jacaranda trees.

Coast/Beach: Caleta de Velez, a fishing port and the nearest coastal town has good beaches, restaurants, harbour and marina. The coast is approximately 20 minutes drive from Finca Almendra.

Adjacent to Caleta is the larger resort of Torre del Mar with its aqua park, beaches and more extensive shopping.

Special Interest Activities: Inland is the true rural Spain of the Axarquia with its charming Moorish white villages, spectacular National Parks of the Sierras - a perfect location for walking, bird watching, mountain biking and horse riding. Granada and the Alhambra, Seville, Cordoba, Ronda and Gibraltar are within easy reach. Alternatively, of course, you could just laze by the pool!

Ski:

The Sierra Nevada offers plenty of winter sports action and is within a couple of hours' drive. So you can ski in the morning and laze on the beach in the afternoon!

Golf:

Baviera Golf course is 20 minutes away at Caleta de Velez

Other Activities:

Our lovely holiday at Finca Almendra, Sayalonga.

We have spent yet another wonderfull holiday at Finca Almendra. We cannot paise it enough, the villa is spacious, well equiped and spotless. The owners, Chris and Bob, are very helpfull and informative, nothing is too much trouble for them. The villa has fantastic veiws down to the sea and to the white villages. If you like to walk there are walks from your doorstep or you can visit the villages and wander or you can just chill out. We would recommend Finca Almendra to everyone and are returning ourselves very soon.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Fifth Visit to Finca Almendra

Our fifth visit and it just gets better!

We have had a much more lazy holiday this time, it has been very hot so have spent lots of time by the pool. We had a lovely day out whale watching and saw lots of pilot whales.

We will definitely be back.

Relaxing time at FincaAlmendra

We’ve had a wonderful relaxing time at Finca Almendra. Bob & Chris are warm hosts and we have fallen in love with Andalucia - the rugged beauty of the mountains, great beaches and wonderful food.

We shall definitely be back.

Great Time at Finca Almendra

We had a really great time here at Finca Almendra. A wonderful place to escape from busy daily life, but on the other side well located for all visits to the main sights such as the “Alhambra” in Granada or Seville.

We wished we could have stayed longer with you!
