Finca Almendra is in the eastern costa del sol near to Competa, between Sayalonga and Corumbela reached via a partly concreted track from either village and is less than 30 minutes from the coast and approximately one hour from Malaga airport. Sayalonga has all basic amenities and smaller Corumbela a supermarket, bakery and bars. Inland is the true rural Spain of the Axarquia with its charming Moorish white villages, spectacular National Parks of the Sierras - a perfect location for going to the beach, walking, bird watching, mountain biking, horse riding or just lazing by the pool.

Local Amenities: Sayalonga, the nearest village, has local bus services to the coast, Malaga and surrounding areas, shops, doctor's surgery, chemist, bank, post office, restaurants, bars and public swimming pool. The typical Andalucian main square is surrounded by beautiful flowering Jacaranda trees.

Coast/Beach: Caleta de Velez, a fishing port and the nearest coastal town has good beaches, restaurants, harbour and marina. The coast is approximately 20 minutes drive from Finca Almendra. Adjacent to Caleta is the larger resort of Torre del Mar with its aqua park, beaches and more extensive shopping.

Special Interest Activities: Inland is the true rural Spain of the Axarquia with its charming Moorish white villages, spectacular National Parks of the Sierras - a perfect location for walking, bird watching, mountain biking and horse riding. Alternatively, of course, you could just laze by the pool!

We had a lovely stay at Finca Almendra in June. The house was provided with everything, and the hosts were ever so kind and helpfull. Swimmingpool was really good, situated at the other end of the holidaypart of the house. Nice views and good weather... what else do we need? Everything within an hours drive nearby.

Second visit to Finca Almendra. Again found villa clean and inviting. All information about the villa is accurate. Excellent service by the owners who live on site, which for us made a huge difference to our enjoyment of the area as they are so well informed of local events happening in the surrounding villages. Owners Chris and Bob are able to suggest restaurants which they like. We like Competa for lunch times and Torre del Mar for a walk along the prom and restarants in the evening. Good supermarket shopping around as we also enjoyed evenings in the villa having a bbq.
Visitors need to be aware of the drive over narrow dirt tracks to get there but these are no problem and the owners are very willing to provide directions and support through signs on arrival in the area.
We cannot thank Chris and Bob enough for an enjoyable, informative stay and would certainly reccommend this property to friends.
Hope to visit again soon.

we have had un verry nice springtime hollyday on un nice location with nice walks en trips which the owner have given us we hebben een hele mooie voorjaarsvakantie gehad op een mooie lokatie en mooie wandelingen en uitstapjes gemaakt welke wij van de eigenaar hebben gekregen
