Photos and Description of this Competa holiday villa An interior that blends Oriental and Spanish styles

Casa Torre is a beautiful rural villa that enjoys magnificent views down the Sayalonga Valley to the sea and is bordered by the dramatic Sierra Almijara mountains behind the house. Surrounded by lovely landscaped, secluded gardens with tumbling bougainvillea and jasmine, it has a large private swimming pool and a pretty covered pergola for “al fresco” dining. The interior of Casa Torre features an eclectic blend of Oriental and Spanish influences, with elegant Thai and Chinese fabrics, Vietnamese artwork and many interesting objects d’art collected by the Hong Kong-based owner. Three spacious bedrooms and three bathrooms (including guesthouse) make the house ideal for groups of up to seven guests. The large terracotta-tiled terrace is decorated with colourful flower pots, lawns, a Moorish style fountain and a lovely rose arch that leads to the self-contained guest house. The old Moorish village of Canillas de Albaida lies 1 km to the west. Competa is 3km to the east.

Casa Torre has received really lovely compliments from every guest who has visited. Mainly they like the spacious terrace and the Moorish style fountain, the stunning views and the peaceful secluded pool and gardens. They say they also enjoy the slow pace of life, the old village squares that come to life regularly with colourful fiestas, and the fantastic scenery of the mountains around the house.
