Villa El Prado is a truly fantastic and unbelievable Villa set in a quiet, prestigious area between the lovely village of Frigiliana and coastal town of Nerja. Indulge yourself in this one million plus euro Villa surrounded by beautiful and well-maintained private gardens with absolutely stunning views over the Mediterranean and Aljimara Mountains. Plenty of sunny and shaded terraces with outside seating, a good-sized enclosed private pool, a purpose built BBQ area. Set on two levels the Villa has a superb dining area and a wonderful spacious living room and a working open fire place with access to the terrace. On the first floor is the master bedroom with en-suite and walk in wardrobe. Villa El Prado is situated in a private area just pass Urbanisation San Rafael. It is 1.5 km from the whitewashed mountain village of Frigiliana and 2.5 km from Nerja, the most popular coastal resort east of Malaga with plenty of wonderful sandy beaches, bar and restaurants etc. The Villa is in an Urbanisation called Las Lomas just off the road going up to Frigiliana after Urbanisation San Rafael. The tarmacked road to the Villa is lined with similar detached exclusive Villas. Absolutely no road noise to deal with and you can't even see any busy main roads from the Villa; it is pure panoramic views. To the northwest is the village of Cómpeta and to the west the village of Torrox. Due to its geographical position, Frigiliana has a very special micro climate, with an average annual temperature of 18 ºC. This means that the winters are mild and the summers warm with a wonderful sea breeze.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Where rates are based on 8 sharing please add 50 pounds supplement per person extra staying (adult or infant/child). Where number of people have not been stated then no supplement is required.
  • Booking deposit of 30% and damage deposit £200 which is refundable after your stay subject to no damage. If arriving within eight weeks of the rental period then full payment is required. A booking form will be sent for completion and booking terms. Check in time on day of arrival is usually 16:00 hours if we have a changeover and check out time on day of departure is 10:30 hours although we are flexible upon arrival and you can drop your bags off after 10:30 am. If you wish to stay longer than 10:30 am it may be possible but please do enquire about this. You will be welcomed at the Villa upon arrival to show you around and handover the keys. You will have a local point of contact during your stay should you require assistance. We have a team of friendly and helpful people who look after the villa and our guests (please see guests comments).
  • Clean bedding and towels are provided upon your arrival and for multiple week stays, i.e. if you are staying for 14 nights then after 7 days we will change the bedding and towels (this excludes stays of less than 14 nights e.g. 10 nights, although this service is available at an a very reasonable extra charge). We clean the property before and after your stay however we do expect you to leave the Villa in a similar condition to how you found it. Alternatively please take us up on our offer of the cleaning service as you are on holiday!

Notes: In the summer months there are ceiling fans/free standing fans in every room to keep you cool which means you can still have the doors/windows open to enjoy the breeze. More photos available upon request. Swimming pool is 10 m x 5 m, 1 m depth in the shallow end, 2 m depth at the deep end. Villa has 1600 sq m of land; front garden is 150 sq m; back garden is 1200 sq m . Floor area of the Villa is 360 sq m (excludes terraces). Garden may be maintained during your stay especially in the summer months. Equipped with iron & ironing board / DVD / Sky DigiBox / bed linen/ towels (except beach towels) / sun loungers / high chair/ fans. There are 3 large leather sofas in the lounge. English TV channels and Sky excluding Sky Movies available. Outside furniture also includes 8 sun loungers, a Cain settee, 2 Cain chairs, four tables, a rotary washing line and a mini fridge outside. For the winter months other than the open fire place there is underfloor heating should this be required.

Entertainment: Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of coastline with seven beaches within walking distance of the town. It’s attractions include more than 500 bars, cafes and restaurants offering traditional local dishes and international cuisine. Visit the famous Balcón de Europa which is a popular place to meet to have a drink and tapas or enjoy the street fair. Or visit the historic village of Frigiliana famous for its muscatel wines and local olive oil. There are over 25 bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a great meal. Baviera Golf Course, 18 hole, par 72, is approximately 15 km east from Nerja, near Caleta de Vélez.

Places to visit: Other than Frigiliana itself, the famous underground caves of Nerja (Cuevas de Nerja) boasting the world’s largest stalactites are worth a visit. Approx 6 km inland is the friendly village of Torrox Pueblo with its plaques depicting the history and lifestyle of the village. Heading further inland to Competa you can try local dishes and taste some of the muscatel wines. A trip to the capital Malaga offers everything from narrow streets crammed with tapas bars and bodegas, famous museums and architecture. Further a field you can marvel at the wonders of Granada’s Alhambra Palace or visit the hotly disputed rock of Gibraltar. There are regular bus services to most of these destinations. There is a bus stop at the end of the road where you can catch a regular local bus into nearby Nerja or Frigiliana itself. From the bus station in Nerja you can catch a bus to further destinations such as Seville.

Shopping: If shopping is your particular passion then take a short trip to El Ingenio shopping centre just off the motorway exit to Torre del Mar. Or visit one of the biggest shopping centres on the Costa del Sol in Malaga, the Larios Centre. There are also street markets in the surrounding villages and towns. In Frigiliana they have a market every Thursday and in Nerja every Tuesday.

The Villa with fantastic views

I have rented numerous properties over the past few years and this has to be the best. The villa has a superb location with views of the mountains and down to Nerja. There were only four people staying at the villa during the week and we were spoilt for choice. We ate every night on the terrace or the superb BBQ area and it was truly wonderful. The pool area was inviting and used evey day, and when it became too hot we sat drinking our wine or Sangria.

I would highly recommend this property.

The only downside was the constant barking of dogs during the night from an unconnected villa across the valley.

This is a fantastic place to stay, the photos on the web page do not tell the whole story. Views, accomodation and comfort are 5 STARS and the layout is brilliant. Its within easy access to Nerja, you will be parked within 10 mins and Frigliana 5 mins. Easy to get to and set in a quite urbanication for a relaxing holiday. Great gardens well looked after and a brilliant clean pool. We will return someday...

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!

This property is absolutely stunning and very well equipped. We came from England and Canada and would definitely go back. The pool is large and has gorgeous views. There is also a great shaded sitting area near the pool if you want to get out of the sun. There are also numerous areas for you to sit and eat both inside and out. Frigliana is a lovely town and a great base to explore the surrounding area. In particular, Nerja is only 5 minutes away and we also ventured into Granada for the city experience which was 1.5 hours from the villa and worth visiting. There were 12 of us in the group and we were very comfortable. We would all definitely recommend this villa to our friends!!

Had a really nice stay, excellent location, great views and Villa eqipped to a very high standard. Met by Melanie who provided us with our arrivals pack, really impressed with the freindly welcome, as I said before this villa is really well laid out, very spacious with a fantastic pool. Really nice lady comes in every other day to clean pool and water the lawn, total luxury, I didn't want to come home.

Excellent service and a beautiful area. The villa was lovely and perfect for children. We were 3 families with 4 children under 8. The pool was gated and a high chair and travel bed were provided.
