Villa Sol y Mar is privately owned and located in the prestigious Marina del Sol Resort close to 'El Faro' Lighthouse on the shores of the clear blue Mediterranean. Just 30 minutes from Malaga Airport, the Resort enjoys one of the best positions on the Costa del Sol. The beautiful tropical gardens flourish in an area which has probably the finest climate in Europe with an average of 320 days sunshine a year. There are sandy beaches just a short stroll away and a large swimming pool right outside the back door of the property. The 'Town House' style Villa has a light and airy feel with marble floors throughout. The four good sized bedrooms have ceiling fans and ample wardrobe space. There are two full bathrooms upstairs and a further cloakroom with wc etc. downstairs. A new kitchen and bathroom have recently been fitted and the house is equipped to a very high standard for self catering. The separate utility room has a washing machine and tumble drier, ironing facilities etc.

The Marina del Sol Resort is located between the popular towns of Fuengirola and La Cala. There is a regular train from Fuengirola to the historic City of Malaga and excellent bus services to the 'white' village of Mijas, fashionable Marbella and Puerto Banus. The Resort is fully self contained and has entertainment, bars, restaurants, shop, bakery and supermarket. In nearby Fuengirola there are a huge range of entertainments, nightlife, a water park and bars/restaurants etc. to suit every taste.

Notes: Villa Sol y Mar is the Winter home of the owners and has been furnished and equipped to a high standard. The Four Gold Crown Marina del Sol Resort is professionally managed and well maintained by an 'army' of gardeners and maintenance personnel etc. There is a doctors surgery on site, a 'land train' which runs continuously and a uniformed security service.

We enjoyed ourselves immensely all brought about by a lovely villa, I will be recommending it to my friends. Mrs VB (family group)

We rented the villa for one week. The villa was lovely - nicely furnished, spotlessly clean and fully equiped with everything you could possibly need. The communal pool was practically at the back door of the villa and once again - well maintained and spotless The resort of club la costa was lovely and had lots of eating places and a supermarket. The resort was really close to the beach and about 5 - 10 mins in a taxi to fuengirola so great location. The owner was friendly and extremely helpful - a pleasure to do business with. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone - it would pretty much suit any holidaymaker and was great for my 7 year old and our 14 month baby. We hope to stay there again.

The villa was very nice and in a perfect location, close to the beach and a short walk to the centre of Fuengirola. There were very handy supermarkets on the resort for essentials and fresh bread in the mornings. The swimming pool was right outside the villa and was perfect for a quick dip before breakfast! The property was well looked after and included everything we needed in the kitchen. We even discovered a cupboard of buckets and spades for the beach! Who said you can be too old for sand castles? Overall, a gorgeous and welcoming villa. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
