Situated in the Urbanization Buena Vista, cut into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, this exclusive well appointed villa offers accommodation in a tranquil setting, yet only a few minutes drive from the fantastic beaches and nightlife of Fuengirola and Marbella. It overlooks the Mediterranean (it is 400m above sea level) and the beautiful nearby town of Mijas, which is renowned as being one of the most beautiful white villages of Spain. There are three bedrooms which can sleep up to eight people (2 full size folding beds available), two bathrooms (one en-suite), an American kitchen with utility room and a large lounge which offers panoramic views of the breathtaking scenery overlooking the Mediterranean Sea towards Gibraltar. On a clear day, you can see the mountains of Africa! It has telephone, air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD, and a CD and radio/cassette player. Externally there is a patio Andaluz opening onto a broad terrace with a large floodlit pool (8x4m).

It overlooks the Mediterranean (it is 400m above sea level) and the beautiful nearby town of Mijas (5 minutes drive away), which is renowned as being one of the most beautiful white villages of Spain. Fuengirola and the beach are 10 mins by car and Marbella 20 mins. The nearest international airport is Malaga (10 miles). There are lots of full day excursions from the resorts of the Costa del Sol. The most exciting ones include visits to Granada, Seville, Cordoba or Ronda. Also very popular are shopping trips to Gibraltar and a day excursion to Tangier in Morocco on which you travel across the Straits of Gibraltar by high speed catamaran to Africa.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A deposit of 10% (minimum €400) is required to secure the booking. The full amount is due 8 weeks before the holiday. The deposit will be refunded one week after departure less costs for electricity (after an allowance of 100kW per week) and telephone calls made.
  • Supplement per person if more than 6 people = €50 per week. Payment methods: in Euros by bank transfer to our Spanish bank account or in Pounds Sterling by cheque or bank transfer to our UK account.
  • A discount of 20% is available for rentals of 3 weeks or more from November to March, although the full electricity costs will be chargeable.

Notes: We have 8 sunbeds and garden furniture. There is an iron available. The air conditioning system both cools and heats the villa (after an initial allowance, the electricity used will be chargeable). The TV satellite system shows the British terrestrial channels plus other free Sky channels. WE ALSO HAVE TWO CARS FOR RENT AT VERY GOOD RATES (an Opel Zafira 5-7 seater automatic and a Smart Forfour 5 seater automatic, both with air con).

Management and Car Hire: We have a manager who is available at all times. A welcome pack of basic food items can be supplied, if required, at cost. Linen and house towels are changed every week. The pool and garden will be maintained once a week (normally Saturday). We have two cars for rent at very good rates, an Opel Zafira 5-7 seater automatic and a Smart Forfour 5 seater automatic, both with aircon.

Andalucia: Local activities include swimming, golf (several courses are very near), tennis, walking, sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, wind-surfing, water skiing, mountain biking, aquaparks, amusement parks, and other attractions. Andalucia has many places to visit for sightseeing and shopping: Malaga, Torremolinos, Marbella, Fuengirola, Gibraltar, Seville, Cordoba and Granada.

Sport: The Lew Hoad Tennis Club, horse riding, go karting and Mijas Aqua Park are all within 10 minutes drive. The beautiful ski resort of the Sierra Nevada is only 2 hours drive away (skiing from late November to end April).

Golf: This entire area is a golfer's paradise with year-round sun and numerous championship golf courses within easy reach. Just inland from Mijas Costa you'll find La Cala North and South golf courses and the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. Also within easy driving distance are the famous courses of Valderrama, Torrequebrada, Alhaurin La Grande and Monte Mayor. There are nearly 60 courses in Andalucia and 30 are on the Costa del Sol. Los Lagos Golf Course, Mijas, boasts two terrific designs laid out by Robert Trent Jones. Los Lagos, the original course built in the mid-1970s, is a flat, long championship course with waterhazards and large greens. Enjoyable for long hitters but also accommodating to those with a slice. Wide fairways with little rough means Mijas has become the most successful commercial course on the Costa del Golf.

Just to let you know that we all arrived home yesterday safe and sound after our most enjoyable and excellent holiday at Casa Pepe. We all had a brilliant two weeks, I would say our best holiday in many years. I have to say a big thank you to Jose Antonio and his wife for the warm and friendly greeting and making sure that we had all we needed, also to Brian who made sure the pool was in first class order during our stay. I hope that we left the villa to your complete satisfaction. Can I take this opportunity to thank you both for all the care taken with the booking and the super communication throughout. We may well wish to book again for next year.
