Villa Manzano is situated in a quiet, idyllic, rural location set on 4500 square metres of its own land, approached by a typical Spanish hillside road, winding and climbing some 450 metres, some of which is unmade. It is surrounded by olive trees and rolling foothills of the Sierra de Tejeda, with spectacular views to the South and West of both hills and sea. It is just a short drive (4km) from the 'pueblo blanco' of Torrox, which itself is 2km from the beach and all the facilities of 'La Costa'. The villa consists of 1 double bedroom (en suite), 2 twin bedrooms and adjacent bathroom, a large living area leading to a fully equipped modern kitchen. Elegantly furnished rooms complement the traditional Spanish features of this recently renovated villa. The large, south-facing terrace surrounding the private swimming pool provides ample space for lounging with a shaded area for eating or just escaping the heat of the sun.

Situated in idyllic Andalucian countryside, about 450m above sea-level providing cooling summer breezes, just above Torrox village. Ideally placed for exploring the charming nearby villages of Frigiliana & Competa (part of the 'Ruta del Vino'), whilst the 'Ruta de la Pasa' (raisin route) meanders through nearby Almachar and El Borge. Nerja, with excellent restaurants, historic caves and nightlife is close at hand. There are also excellent golf courses at Baviera and Anoretta, both within 30 min drive. The Sierra Nevada for skiing and the spectacular city of Grenada are both under 2 hours away.

A Truly Spectacular Villa

My husband and I have just returned, along with our two friends, from a truly fabulous holiday at Villa Manzano. The villa was everything that the website description said it would be - and more. Having read the review below, we all found the road absolutely fine and had no problems with it whatsoever. We really could not have asked for a better place in which to spend our holiday.

The villa was well equipped with everything one could possibly need and it was extremely clean and tidy when we arrived - not to mention beautifully furnished. The days were warm and sunny and the nights were chilly (we went in Feb) but the villa had heaters and a roaring log fire to keep us all warm and cosy.

Torrox is a beautiful 'pueblo blanco' where we spent many lunches and evenings sitting out drinking wine and eating tapas. We visited the caves in Nerja which are breathtaking and are a must-see. There is also a fantastic restaurant, located on the cliff edge along the coast road on the way to Nerja which does great tapas and has stunning views out to sea. We even ventured into the Sierra Nevada for a few days skiing - a two hour car journey from the villa so extremely accessible. It was a stunning ski resort with incredible snow.

To mark an incredible end to an incredible holiday, the goats appeared, as the picture on the website shows, in front of us as we made our way down the mountain to leave - it was as if they were seeing us on our way - it was a very special moment.

I would recommend this villa without hesitation to friends and family and we will be returning without a doubt.

A lovely, comfortable, well appointed villa with great views. However not for those who are anxious about driving on narrow, winding hillside tracks.

I have stayed twice now, at this villa.
The first time with my husband, and daughter, for a "get away from it all" break. The second time, with a party of 5 other ladies!!
It was ideal on both visits. You are able to relax, read, sunbathe, and swim, in tranquil surroundings, uninterrupted views, which are stunning.

The villa is very well equipped, home from home. Beautiful interior, which has been well thought out, by the owners.

Excellent restaurants nearby, down on the coast. All serving local dishes. Superb Pil Pil, Paellas, freshly caught fish, calamares, and more.
Local supermarkets close by, again on the coast, to stock up, should you prefer a lunch or supper, at the villa.
A car is essential to get around,

The owners are happy to give you any information you require, and have a bookcase, at the villa,with books giving details of local activities, and places of interest to visit. Also, reading books, for you to borrow, whilst there.

The pool is clean,and terrace area large, with a lovely wooden table, and chairs, for al fresco dining.A local lady, and gentleman, look after both, the villa, and pool, and are on hand, to help with any problems that may arise, during your visit.

I cannot think of any one thing, I would do, to improve this villa. It was a perfect time for us.

An excellent place to stay, and would recommend it, without hestitation.
