We had a fabulous stay at Villa San Antonio in Almogia. The villa was secluded, perfect for a peaceful break away from it all. We enjoyed the welcome pack of food and wine left by Margaret and David, all the things you need immediately, like milk, teabags, sugar, butter, croissants etc.

The villa was very spacious inside, having two double bedrooms and one twin, together with three bathrooms, all immaculate and well decorated. The lounge was very comfortable with lovely furnishings. The kitchen was fully fitted and had all the necessary equipment, including a dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. We used the conservatory as a dining area, making every meal enjoyable whilst looking over the pool, gardens and view ahead.

The pool area was a great place to relax and unwind. There were chairs, tables, sun beds and a double hammock for our use. The pool was cold but was used every day, great for cooling off. Our eleven year old daughter swam 100 lengths each day, she would thoroughly recommend it for keeping fit. The pool was set in beautiful gardens with a show of brightly coloured flowers. Our daughter couldn’t resist sketching the villa and surroundings, so picturesque. We picked fresh lemons from the trees in the garden and made a tasty but zesty lemon juice.

We hired a car and had day trips out to the beach in Torremolinos, an evening meal in Malaga, lunch and a walk around Antequera and a visit to the local shops in Almogia. Try and visit the bread shop as they sell beautiful chocolate croissants and fresh bread.

Margaret and David made us very welcome and were on the end of the phone for any help or advice required. Thank you both for your kindness and hospitality.

We would love to holiday in Almogia again and, given the opportunity, would definitely return to Villa San Antonio.

Sehr schöne Villa, traumhafter Garten, Ruhe & Erholung
Wir waren im September 2008 zu fünft da - und es war wirklich toll. Die Villa bietet viel Platz, hervorragende Ausstattung und einen traumhaft angelegten großen Garten mit großem Pool. Mitten in den Bergen Andalusiens gelegen, ohne direkte Nachbarn ist das der Ort zum Entspannen und Auftanken.
Haus und Garten sind sehr gepflegt. Die Besitzer haben Umfangreiches Informationsmaterial zur direkten Umgebung zusammengestellt (wohin kann man essen gehen, was gibts zu sehen, wo sind Tankstelle, Supermarkt, etc.). Der Service war hier perfekt - wir mieten seit Jahren Häuser in allen möglichen Ecken Europas -> aber einen so guten Service hatten wir noch nie. David & Margaret haben, angefangen von der äusserst ausführlichen Wegbeschreibung zum Haus über die vielen Informationen zur Umgebung sowie zur "Bedienung des Hauses" an alles gedacht und wir fühlten uns ausnahmslos gut aufgehoben und versorgt. Bei unserer Ankunft war der Kühlschrank mit dem wichtigsten gefüllt, Handtücher, Bettwäsche, Toilettenpapier, Spülmaschinentabs, Waschpulver, etc... alles da! Wir haben das noch nie so erlebt! Vielen Dank noch einmal!
Der für uns einzige Wehrmutstropfen: Wir wollten eigentlich mehr in der "Gegend" unternehmen, z.B. Gibraltar besuchen, die Alhambra anschauen (haben wir auch ;o)), Sevilla besuchen... Da das Haus in den Bergen rund 20 km von Malaga entfernt liegt, die Straßen zum Haus aber ausschließlich aus Serpentinen bestehen braucht man ca. 40 Minuten bis nach Malaga und zur Autobahn, was einen Ausflug ganz nett in die länge zieht... wir haben uns dann dazu entschieden, diesen wunderschönen Ort und die tolle Unterkunft mehr auszunutzen und weniger durch die Landschaft zu fahren - und was soll ich sagen: es war toll!
