Two luxurious detached 3-bedroom villas built alongside one-another less than a kilometer from the whitewashed village of Los Romanes. Fully equipped kitchens with all modern amenities (including highchair playpen and travel cot available for family groups) and comfortable lounges make these villas perfect accommodation all year round. Each villa has it’s own private pool, extensive terrace with BBQs facilities and breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Vinuela and Mount Tejada beyond. Los Romanes has several very good restaurants, small local supermarkets, local bakery and butchers, village bars and olive mill. There are more excellent restaurants on the lake shore. The villas are superbly located near to an excellent connecting road network giving very easy access to all main centres including Marbella (60 - 70 min)and Granada (90 mins). Being only a 15 min drive from the coast, these stunning holiday villas have the best of both worlds. Large reductions for long term rentals.

The south - west facing villa enjoys probably the best views over the lake and mountains. The modern living accommodation is on one level with a fully equipped kitchen, lounge/dining room and two twin bedrooms, bathroom and one double bedroom with en suite bathroom, terrace and balcony. Patio doors from the lounge lead to a large terrace with BBQ and steps leading down to the good size pool with sun loungers on the lower terrace. The pools are surrounded by attractive gardens and terraces. This small and unspoilt area of Andalucia –to the north east of Malaga - is still a well kept secret. Untouched by mass tourism, and surrounded by National Parks it is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty between the Sea and Sierras. Only 15 minutes to the Mediterranean coast, and 35 minutes to Malaga international airport. Due to good motorway connections, Granada and Antequera can be reached in 1 hour, Cordoba and Seville in 2 hours.

This is a really pretty area with green rolling hills and the dramatic mountains of the Sierra Tejada rearing up across the lake to twice the height of Mount Snowdon, occasionally you will see buzzards soaring across the lake from their homes in the rocky heights, smaller birds of prey are quite common too. You need only cross the lake to the 'Natural Park' where the walking is said to be un-equalled anywhere in Spain. In the Spring the fields are carpeted with the prettiest wildflowers you've ever seen. Throughout the year, but especially in August, there are lots of festivals and carnivals to which the locals will welcome you with typical Andalucian warmth. The local beaches stretch along the whole of the coast, there is a great water park with huge slides in nearby Torre Del Mar, and the town of Nerja offers spectacular caves to visit, not to mention the 'Balcony of Europe' and the trendy Burianna Beach. Additional information about rental rates

  • Changeover day is negotiable so that renters can take advantage of cheaper mid-week flights. This does not apply to peak season when changeover day is Saturday. Guests are asked to vacate the property by 10am on the day of departure and not to arrive before 5pm. Reductions will be given for long term off seasons lets. Please contact owner.
  • To secure booking, a non-refundable 25% deposit will be required, with the full balance due eight weeks before departure. Payment can be accepted by cheque, Bank transfer or Credit Card. A deposit of 200 pounds per rental period is also required on arrival against the possibility of damage/breakages, non-returned keys ect. This amount in full or part of will be refunded in 14 days after our local agents clean the villa at the end of the rental. In the event of cancellation within 4 to 8 weeks of departure, where we are unable to re-let the villa, we will retain 50% of the rental value. For cancellations 2 to 4 weeks before departure where we are unable to re-let the villa, we will retain 75% of the rental value. For cancellations 2 weeks or less before departure where we are unable to re-let the villa, we will retain 100% of the rental value.
  • Once your booking is confirmed, the price is fixed and will not change. However, we reserve the right to change the published prices for new bookers during the holiday season depending on availability.

    It is mandatory that you have your own personal travel insurance for all members of the traveling party which incorporates the duration of the stay. We will not accept liability for any personal claims.

Golfers: A new Golf Club has opened approx 15 minutes from the Villa called Baviera Golf (18 holes), length 5,910 metres, Par- 72. There is another at Caleta de Velez (Torre del Mar) and a third - Club Anoreta (18 holes), Length 5,976 metres, Par- 72. At Rincon de la Victoria (Axarquia). Skiing is 90 minutes away in Granada. The aqua park is 15 mins away and water sports 10 mins away. There is a track around the lake for cycling or walking with artificial beaches and picnic spots with magnificent views. You can walk to the lake from the villa - approx 5 minutes.

Local Attractions/beaches: The Lake offers two excellent restaurants (lake shore setting) swimming, fishing (with permit), sailing, windsurfing, canoes. Also available nearby there is horse riding, mountain biking, bird watching and hiking. There are many nearby whitewashed villages to explore, with bars and restaurants serving local dishes including Tapas. Beaches- Torre Del Mar (15 mins), Torrox (20 mins) and Nerja (35 mins)

Skiing Information: The Sierra Nevada is a 2 hour drive away with ski resorts - pre-booking for skiing is advisable.

C'est un endroit magnifique, la vue est impressionante, et c'est un plaisir de se réveiller chaque matin, face au Lac de Vinuela. Je recommande cet endroit qui est vraiment très agréable, et cette maison, qui est très bien équipée. J'ai passé une agréable semaine. Dommage, la piscine était un peu froide (fin avril) mais en pleine saison, la piscine doit surement être très agréable.

A place to remember!

Casa Pantano provides a high standard of accommodation with numerous plus points. Good air con system prevents sleepless nights in the warmest of conditions and one could imagine the place being cosy in winter. Excellent pool takes care of the exercise aspects and relaxation is catered for with extensive patio and terraces. Local ammenities are adequate and the main supermarket is only twenty minutes away - it has an excellent fish counter. Local eateries are good and reasonably priced. The location allows quick access the main road network without the property losing its sense of isolation. My only reservation is that the beds are a little small if you are over six feet tall. Overall Casa Pantano is a value for money property and is thoroughly worth a visit. A final point - the people you deal with are helpful, efficient and very professional.

Villa Vida

We had a super holiday at Villa Vida. The views from the balcony are absolutely stunning and the villa is lovely. It is clean and well furnished.
I would recommend Villa Vida to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun, surrounded by stunning scenery with plenty of peace and quiet. it is also a good base to use for exploring the area.

Pretty neat modern cottage

We were there in August 2008. The house is very nice, clean and maintained. It has a beautiful view of the lake. We felt very well and enjoyed the beautiful pool and garden. The information kit in the house was very helpful. The House handover has worked super. For the future we would be a weekly change of linen, the purchase of a dishwasher and new requirements for the couches wish. From the gas grill, we were thrilled.

We are getting ready for next season and have bought new covers for the sofas and added a few more homely touches.
The dishwasher is an ecological problem, we try to conserve water whenever we can, and dishwashers are very thirsty, so rubber gloves and a good brush are provided. Maybe we will have lots of rain this winter and feel a dishwasher can be justified.

Stunning ! ! ! !

My family and my self went out to the Villa earlier this year and had a fantastic time while we were there. The villa is very nice and has a good layout both inside and out. The balcony area can be sealed off so the kids could not get down to the pool area which was superb and even when we were at the poole there is fencing all round the pool area so the do not venture into the undergrowth. The views of the lake and the mountains (upto 2000ft) are breath taking. Frazer and his father were very helpfull and very friendly and kept us well informed both prior to our arrival and during our stay. It is a little bit out the way and you will need to have a car to get about but the drives and the good quality roads around the area make it worth while.
