Casa Estrella is a newly built villa in a country setting with fantastic views over the rugged local countryside, white mountain villages and with the Mediterranean as a background. South facing with terraces and gardens surrounding a clear blue tiled pool - you can enjoy the sun or relax in the shade of ancient carob trees. The villa is on a little used track, so is quiet and seperate from the few neighbours. However, beautiful Lake Vinuela is only a few kilometres away and 20 minutes from there you can be on the beach, at a water park or shopping at a major regional centre.

Casa Estrella is located in the rural pueblo of La Dehesa on the south facing slope of one of the coastal mountain ranges of the Axarquia region - the Eastern part of the Cost del Sol. Lake Vinuela is a couple of kilometres to the North and Velez Malaga and the Mediterranean are some 15 kilometres to the South. The area is easy to access on the E15 motorway and day trips to Sevilla, Grenada, Cordoba, Gilbraltar are easily managed with Nerja, Malaga, Marbella and the Costa del Golf even closer. Axarquia is mainly rural, with scattered white mountain villages inland and well-developed but relatively low-key family orientated resorts along the coast.

Notes: With the clear intent to provide facilities for a comfortable and enjoyable family holiday, Casa Estrella was built to be well integrated into it's rural setting with ample space surrounding it for parking, gardens, terraces and for the family to relax from the pressures of their normal lives. There are shaded terraces and the pool is surrounded by a wide tiled patio. A hand-built barbeque has recently been added on one of the terraces and the views are wide and beautiful. Inside the rooms are spacious, well furnished and comfortable with a welcoming kitchen/living room with breakfast bar and open fireplace for the cooler spring and autumn evenings. The bedrooms are large, well furnished and the bathroom includes a clothes washer and drying racks.

Local facilities: - - the closest pueblo - La Dehesa - is a collection of widely scattered rural houses at the top of a low mountain ridge. A few miles away is Lake Vinuela with swimming, golfing and now with a number of good quality restaurants. Some 12 miles on is the typically Spanish town of Velez Malaga, with banks, cinemas and a major shopping centre. A few miles further and you are in the beach resort of Torre del Mar with all the usual water-parks, well maintained beachfront with bars, restaurants, discos, water sports....

Axarquia: - the south-east portion of Malaga province - is made up of mountains and the Mediterrean coastline. The mountains are largely protected national parks - somewhat wild and barren, with a band of varied agricultural lands on the slopes down to the sea. It's an old area - prehistoric man was here, the Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Moors all were visitors and it has it's own deep beauty. Casa Estrella is in the centre of all this - with ready access to Malaga, Nerja and with Granada, Cordoba, Marbella and even Sevilla close enough for a day trip.
