This Private detatached villa is situated just above the lake of La Vinuela. It has a tropical garden with a wide variety of different trees and plants. It offers everything you need for a luxurious holiday - an inviting private pool next to the house, a shady terrace with comfortable furniture, a boules and suffle court and a fantastic view over Lake la Vinuela, the mountains and the white washed villages of Axarquia. The bright spacious living room has patio doors leading out to the terrace, an open fireplace, comfortable sofas and armchairs and a dining area. The fitted kitchen also has patio doors leading out to the terrace and overall, it is very well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, microwave. The main bathroom has a bath with shower. Three bedrooms, all with two large luxury single beds in each, the main one has en-suite with shower. The house is tastefully decorated and provides you with all you need for a luxurious holiday! A superb Golf course 24km away.

The Viñuela Valley is situated in the Málaga province and has an excellent location east of Málaga. Many visitors choose to return to the area year after year. A 20 minutes drive from the Mediterranean resort Torre del Mar takes you up to the valley with the glittering Viñuela lake among the hills that mostly are covered with olive trees and Almond trees. Nestled in the mountains are the white and beautiful villages Alcaucín, Viñuela, Los Romanes and further up Comares, Periana and Riogordo. Prepare a picnic basket and go to the nature area above Alcaucín with its incredible views or drive down to Torre del Mar and try some of the fantastic seafood restaurants that borders the seafront like a string of pearls. There are two good 18 hole golf courses nearby, Bavaria Golf, 15 mins, and Club Anorets, 25 mins. You can also enjoy skiing in the Sierra Nevada. Opened in 2002, the Baviera Golf Course is located 22 mins drive from the villa at La Caleta de Velez and is open all year. This 18 hole, par 71, 5066 metres course was designed by the European tour professional José Maria Cañizares and has wide fairways and large, fast greens plus there are some cleverly placed water hazards which put this course in the moderately difficult bracket. We have just returned from 2 weeks in this great house in Lake Vinuela. The house was large enough for 6 of us to have our own space, fully equipped and in perfect condition. Beds are large and comfortable. Older children loved the pool and table tennis and our toddler could stay in the shade on the patio.
Location is secluded and views over countryside are beautiful. A car is essential and we were unable to go for walks with a pram due to the tracks surrounding the house, but this was a small price to pay for the peace and relaxation.
Journey from Malaga airport was straighforward and directions to the house were easy to follow.
Would certainly recommend this house for a peaceful, relaxing holiday.

Fantastic holiday

We have just returned from two weeks staying at this fab villa.
The villa is very spacious with lovely comfortable beds. It has all the amenities you could need on holiday. The pool and garden are lovely. It was very quiet and relaxing. There was plenty of information left in the villia with contact numbers should we have needed them (we didn't!) and also restaurant recommendations, a few of which we tried although we mostly had BBQ's in the garden.
We got more and more relaxed as the holiday went on . We can safely say this is the best villa we have stayed in and we can't wait to go back again.

Perfect Relaxing Holiday

We are a party of two adults and three teenage children who have just returned from enjoying one of the most relaxing fortnight holidays we have ever had. Yes, it really was stress-free, even with three teenagers!

From booking the rental with the owners who were always very easy to deal with - providing prompt responses and plenty of information, to arriving at the beautiful villa in it's own beautifully maintained landscaped gardens with STUNNING views, we can honestly say everything went smoothly and was exactly as was described on the website.

The villa was private, clean, tidy and well equipped with plenty of room for everyone to find their own space - be that by the lovely quiet pool area with loungers for everyone, the large airy lounge with Digital TV & DVD's etc, the outside BBQ & dining areas, or the light, roomy bedrooms - everyone had space and instantly chilled out.

The weather was wall-to-wall blue, with temperatures in the mid to high 30's. There were plenty of fans to cool the rooms on the warm nights.

The maintenance staff (gardeners and pool man) were all very friendly and unobtrusive. There was also a local contact number just in case there was a problem with the property.

We will definitely be returning to this lovely place and would therefore highly recommend it.

An excellent holiday!

We stayed at the Villa in early October 2007, our first visit. There were five of us in the group.

We are always a little unsure when booking for the first time whether the property will be exactly as detailed in the website. So we contacted the owners with various questions by phone and email, our questions were always answered promptly with photographs when necessary. We were impressed and made a booking.

The journey from Malaga airport was straight forward using the details and photographs provided by the owners, very useful when arriving late at that time of year.

When you see the Villa for the first time (we had to wait until the following morning as it was dark when we got there) it is exactly as shown in the photographs! When you stay there it proves to be even better than you were expecting! The villa was clean, fresh and tidy with the correct number of beds made up, etc. We opted for the welcome pack as we were arriving late and everything we needed to tide us over was provided.

We had a brilliant holiday with weather to match and even at that time of year the pool temperature was fine (we used the cover). It may interest you to know that the pool is well maintained, a local company called while we there to check the filtration, etc.

If you think we were impressed, you'd be right! We will most certainly return and recommendations don't come any better than that!

Perfect Holiday

We, my wife and I, wanted to have a nice quiet time off. Away from it all. So we booked this wonderful villa for the month of June 2007 and were pleasantly surprised. Because this villa not only gave us that peace and quiet we wanted, but provided us with everything we needed as well. The presentation of the villa was without any remarks. Nice, clean, full equipped, like we are use to have at home. It was very easy to find with the road map with photos supplied by the owner. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to come back again soon. Complements for the owner! Jos & Hans (Netherlands)
