Luxury villa fully furnished to a very high standard and immaculately presented. Large living / dining room complete with wood burner for the cooler evenings. Satellite TV, CD & DVD. 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom, 2 baths with showers, partial air conditioning and fully fitted kitchen with fridge / freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, cooker & microwave. Outside: Private pool with shower, large terracing providing stunning panoramic views across the valleys below and across to the mountains and villages and part of the Lake Vinuela itself. The grounds are extensive for walking about and sunbathing etc., including a viewing area above the villa, allowing quiet times away from the pool area. Spanish style barbeque, sun loungers, table and chairs (all with cushions) for 6 people. Villa is accessed by a short track (partial concrete) off the public road. Excellent for a family, romantic or chill out style holiday.

Vinuela lies in the heart of the Axarquia Region of Andalucia. Untouched by the usual tourist influences, it remains very traditional but with access to all modern amenities. In the spring the ground is covered in wild flowers and the land is lush with vegetation of all types and colours. You are always welcome to go to one of the Fiestas held in the local villages throughout the year and you will receive a typical warm Andulucian welcome.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rates are based on whole weeks within the dates shown. Where required dates overlap with other price bands then the total price is calculated using the daily equivalent price multiplied by the number of days within each price band. First date shown in price band is first night stay; last date shown in price band is last night stay with departure following day.
    We adopt a strict cleaning regime at the villa to ensure everything is clean and tidy for your visit. Our standards are high and because of this we need enough time to clean it properly following previous occupation. therefore arrival time at the villa is normally between 1500hrs and 2000hrs. However, earlier arrivals may be available if the villa was not occupied the night before your arrival.
    All clients are met personally at an easily identifiable venue and escorted to the villa and shown around with explanations on facilities etc.
    Allow extra 25euros if arrival after 2000hrs to cover 'night duty' costs.
  • Changeover days are normally Saturday or Tuesday but other days may be considered on application. Extra days over minimum 1 wk (but less than 2 wks) may be considered subject to availability. To secure a booking a non-refundable deposit of 25% of total sum will be required with full balance paid eight weeks before departure. Payment accepted by cheque or bank transfer. On clearance of payment, full details of your villa will be posted along with contact arrangements for access etc.
    A refundable security deposit of £100-00p is required with final payment against possibility of damage, breakages lost / non returned keys etc. This will be returned in full after our local agent confirms no damage or extensive cleaning etc after your stay. Please note this is for unreasonable items; the odd broken glass etc can often happen and no deduction would be made for such incidents. Just leave a note telling the agent of the damage etc so that a replacement where necessary can be obtained.
  • Insurance: We strongly advise you obtain adequate personal travel insurance for the whole party travelling for the duration of the travel and stay. We cannot accept any liability for personal accident / damage or claims.

Examples include the Alhambra Palace at Granada, Nerja & its caves, Le Torcal National Park (See the unique geological structures), Tejeda National Park, Aquaparks at Velez Malaga, numerous beaches and coastal resorts, Sierra Nevadas, surrounding traditional Spanish villages and of course the Lake itself with its picnic areas and walks. If you are a golfer, there are many golf clubs around including the Baviera Golf (Par 72) at Velez-Malaga / Caleta.

This is the second year that we have stayed at Casa Shallom and have again thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The villa has great views in all directions and is very private without being isolated; it is spacious and well furnished with masses of outside space and lots of comfortable pool and patio furniture. We like to cook and found the kitchen very well equipped, in fact, we can’t think of anything that wasn’t to hand. The villa was immaculate on both occasions and a credit to the very helpful Debbie & Jim who look after things. It would be easy to while away all of your time at the villa but it’s also a great base for the coast or mountains and has plenty of restaurants or shopping within 10 mins drive.
