'Casa Los Arcos' is a 2 floored, detached villa and is fully equipped to a high standard. It is built in the Cortijos Romero hamlet, so has the security of other houses nearby, whilst still retaining a secluded feel. Access is via fully tarmaced roads, with no scary mountain drops! It is south facing and overlooks a beautiful valley. It has mature gardens, private pool, sun terrace, BBQ and shaded terrace for dining al fresco! There is a second sun terrace on the first floor for more sunbathing. Casa Los Arcos has all the 'Mod Cons' that we come to expect today, including English TV, not that you will watch much once you've seen the view from the terrace. The kitchen is fully fitted and well equipped. There is warm/ cool air conditioning on both floors, making this villa ideal for both summer and winter holidays. The villa has a homely feel to it, unlike many holiday rental villas, as it was designed to be our home. We still live close by and look after our villa and guests personally

This villa is situated approximately 15 minutes from the coast of Torre Del Mar, and the large town of Velez-Malaga. La Vinuela is one of the most beautiful parts of Spain, with mountains, white villages and La Vinuela Lake. There are two 18 hole golf courses nearby, Baviera Golf a 15 min drive, and Anoreta Golf a 25 min drive. Shopping is easy as there is a large hypermarket with bowling alley, cinema, supermarket and boutique shops found between Velez- Malaga and Torre Del Mar. More locally, in the village of La Vinuela, there is a large supermarket, bank (with cash machine), pharmacy and medical centre. However, you do not always need to take the car, as there is a bar, restaurant and four star Hotel, all within walking distance (as is the La Vinuela Lake). Other places of interest within a 30 min drive are; the Water Park at Velez Malaga, Go Karts in Torre Del Mar and Nerja with its lovely beaches and famous caves. The Sierra Nevada Ski slopes are just an hour and 40 mins away.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A 20% deposit is required upon booking, with the balance falling due 6 weeks before the arrival date. A basic Welcome Pack is included in the price. A refundable deposit of £200 or 300 Euros CASH is payable on collection of villa keys to cover any large damages or breakages. This will be refunded on your departure, once the villa has been checked.
  • On your arrival day you are welcome to check in from 3.30pm onwards and on departure day you are required to leave the Villa by 10.30am.
    Please Note:- Out of Hours Arrivals (after midnight and before 7.00am) there is a 50 euro fee which will be added to your rental fee.

  • There are two shower rooms on the ground floor, one en-suite to the double room and one shared between the two twin bedrooms. The Bathroom is on the first floor and provides the family bedroom with a bath, separate shower enclosure, bidet, sink and toilet.

Notes: Bed Linen and Bathroom Towels are provided, and are changed on Saturdays. To help our guests avoid excess baggage fees, we also supply towels for use around the pool, however as these are continuously used we ask that you launder them yourselves when necessary. There is a log fire in the lounge, plus electric heaters in the bedrooms and bathrooms, and 'warm' air conditioning for the cooler times of year. A basic welcome pack is INCLUDED in the price to get you started. We also have a notice board and welcome book that gives you ideas of local places to visit and things to see. We have also added a 5,000 litre water deposit this year, which means guests should have no problem with lack of water during their stay. We have never had any guests without water during their holidays with us.

Fabulous get-away-from-it-all holiday

Ten of us stayed at Casa Los Arcos, 4 adults and 6 children. What a fabulous place! We arrived late at night and were met at the villa by Georgie, who was most helpful.

We found the villa to be spotlessly clean, and very, very spacious, far more than the pictures show. The pool was fabulous, and was regularly checked on by Keith the pool man.

The area is beautiful, great views from the villa. We travelled for a big shop to Velez-Malaga which is only 15 minutes away, and used the village of La Vinuela for bread and milk etc.

We visited Hotel La Vinuela for a meal one evening, which is definately worth a visit for the views of Lake Vinuela alone, but fairly pricey. There are a few local restaurants close to the villa, which are affordable.

The villa is very remote, and a car is an absolute necessity. The area is very quiet, which was wonderful, there are other villas around you, but you are not aware of them.

All in all, a great villa, clean, spacious, with wonderful views, a real escape!!
