The south facing farmhouse enjoys sunshine all day. Privacy and tranquility are guaranteed as there are extensive grounds, and no immediate neighbours. The entire property has been sympathetically modernized in keeping with the original character with terracotta tiled floors and beamed ceilings throughout. It is built on two levels. Downstairs is the typical Ibicenco entrance hall/living room with wood burning stove, the farmhouse style kitchen/diner with doors to a stone walled romantic kitchen courtyard,a beautiful place to enjoy your meals. Either side of the entrance are 2 double bedrooms. Upstairs is the 3rd bedroom with an open fireplace/sitting area and the spacious bathroom and terrace. Sit in the front of the house at the second dinning table with the most amazing view over the valley, or lounge around the long pool . The beaches nearby are of a big variety, a family friendly beach, a small romantic beach, a beach with all the sports activities or the famous Beniras beach

The Farmhouse, originally built in the 1600's, is situated in the mountains which are part of the nature reserve on the island, about 3km from one of the last original villages of Ibiza, Sant Joan. In the village you will find an amazing supermarket with food from all over the world plus an all organic food section, a bakery and a butcher. The Restaurants and Bars all have wireless and you can buy all the international newspapers. There is a pharmacy and 3 banks, plus a post office.

Situated 3 kms from the attractive village of Sant Joan de Labritja, which is located in the north of the island, the house is approximately 30 minutes by car from Ibiza town, 40 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the sea and beaches of San Vicente and Portinatx. The detached property was originally a farmhouse or finca and because of it's thick walled construction is cool in summer and easy to keep warm in winter. It is spectacularly situated on a hillside location, with a panoramic view over the wooded valley below. In Sant Joan the following can be found: grocery, general provisions, banks, two bar/ restaurants, an office facility with telephone/fax/e-mail and a petrol station.

this place is incredible, and beautifully remote. rarely have i found a place that exudes so much calm and peace and tranquility, it literally is breath taking. there is loads of space outside for wandering and eating, and the view from the pool area is stunning. the interior is dove v simply with beautiful traditional furnishings. the bathroom is gigantic, v simple with double doors that lead out onto a roof terrace. the property was v clean and well maintained throughout our stay, and the owner was very friendly and lovely.

couple of points worth mentioning, there is a local village nearby that has everythig you need - but do be warned, it is aprox 20-25 mins away on a v bumpy dirt track road - 1st gear all the way! you definitley do need a car. the fridge isn't brilliant really, but dont make your choice on this place based on that - you would miss out.

Owner's Response: The village is for us 8 minutes away if you know how to drive a dirt road and I am in 30 Minutes at the airport. Our Gardener drives a small car and has nor problems with it.But if you can afford it take a 4X4 as a rental car.

We rented this villa for a week (5 of us) and though the dirt track to the house itself was 'interesting' (DO get a 4 x 4!) it was all worth it when we got there - the villa is absolutely beautiful! The pool is gorgeous and the views stunning - we didn't head down to the beach much as it was so much nicer staying put!
The house was clean and airy and all linen/towels provided so we didn't need to worry about any of that, the bottles of wine in the fridge when we arrived were also very welcomed!
The town of St Joan was small but had a perfectly good couple of places to eat and a small supermarket, there is also a late night restaurant/club about 20mins away (Aura), you do need to drive but that is true of most villas on the island and the location of this is such that you get to discover the less spoiled north of the island.I would recommend this villa to all of my friends and am already looking forward to going back some time.

We had a wonderful weeks holiday. It was just what we needed to relax and get away from everything. The house is charming and the garden spectacular. I loved walking on all the different terraces and seeing so much variety in plants all blooming. The weather was nice and sunny during the day but the air was still nippy in March so we spent romantic evenings with the fire, which was very cosy. I really liked the fact that the house is eco friendly. I can only recommend it and will definitely be going back.

much as the house. They treated the place like their own not just like a hotel and this is always a pleasure for me to see. I look forward to more guests which love beautiful views and garden plus are interested
