Deia or Deya is located on the north west coast of Mallorca approximately 40 minutes from Palma by car, a quiet and tranquil paradise and truly stunning location. Deia nestles in the Tramuntana mountains, dominated by the hill top village church, approximately 20 minutes from the sea with its own beautiful calla. The mountain overlooking Deia is approximately the same height as the highest mountain in England, Scafell Pike, approximately 3000ft high, resembling the limestone features of the English Lake District fells but bathed in Mediterranean sunshine. A perfect place to spend a holiday, to just relax, paint or take a walk to explore this idyllic location. Walking is a very popular activity in the area all year round and several walks start from the village. Many of the walks are sign posted with the approximate time it will take to do the walk. From 'Son Canals' it takes approximately 20 minutes to walk down to the calla and from there you can continue to Soller, if you wish.
